The problem is that, a lot of the time, they cost way more than an established first-teamer would, case in point Fulham were demanding £25m+ for Ryan Sessegnon two years ago, and we bought Moura for less than that.I know .I've always said there are some quality players in the lower leagues who we should be looking at and they wouldn't cost a fortune like Johnny foreigners .even if it didn't work out for them most of the time we would get our money back and more and it saves wasting money on players who need time to settle in a new country.
It's a weird situation where the best way to sign young English talent is hope they get promoted to the Premier League and get relegated after a season to activate their relegation release clause, as happened with Trippier or Harry Maguire
