Don't watch a lot of golf but the Ryder Cup is up there with the best for entertainment, passion and excitement.
Heaven forbid, but it could be Poulter’s last too, though I hope not! Mickelson had no business being there really, but I believe he is going to be the USA captain next time.
The moment when García got his point to go past Faldo, I was welling up. Superb entertainment, and that’s from someone who hardly ever watches golf.
I enjoy the winning as much as anyone but I get a bit uneasy about the over-the-top celebrations and chest thumping. Golf to me is about sportsmanship, decorum and dignity but it's seems to go to the wall during the Ryder Cup, maybe the team format encourages it.
Loved that final long putt which gained Europe another point when it looked like we'd only get a half. Noren had to plod through the last few holes* when everyone else was celebrating....he deserved his moment in the sun when that putt went in. *Apparently all matches have to finish because of bets laid on final score.
The yanks stepped over the line first years ago...they should have know this little old nation would come crashing through louder after them

I really really hate that call of 'In the hole'....delivered even when there is no chance of said spherical object finding the orifice. I just want someone to shove the ball into the offender's mouth.....with prejudice.
Some may have forgotten or not even known that the Ryder Cup used to be the US v GB, but it all got too predictable, so the rest of Europe was brought into it.* *This is not an excuse for some smart arse to mention Brexit.
As one commentator said over the weekend.. “I think that spectator must be watching a different course”
It's not the first time I've heard it, quite a common shout by American fans. https://www.express.co.uk/sport/gol...errer=https://www.google.com&_tf=From %1$s
In the spirit of Uncle Albert *, can we mention the UKs withdrawal from the European Union? * please log in to view this image Time On Our Hands (1996) Del doesn't want to hear Uncle Albert's war stories. Albert During the... Del If you say during the war, I'll pour this cup of tea over your head! Albert I wasn't going to say during the war! Del Alright then. Albert Bloody little know all! Del Sorry Albert That's alright. During the 1939-1945 conflict with Germany
And personal pride as they’re all playing for points which accumulate over the years and allows a “Garcia” achievement.
