Getting hammered by Liverpool on the opening day of the season must seem like an awful long time ago for West Ham fans. Perhaps their investment this summer will pay off by finishing in the Top 7, and/or winning an overdue trophy.

Horrible club, don’t deserve to win anything. Ever.

You are getting like me Chilco when I have expressed my sentiments about Glasgow Rangers and Chelsea. The reality is that I feel rather pathetic having these feelings towards any football club. Is it to do with their board of directors? OK, they get the flack for moving into the "tax-payers" stadium. So did Manchester City to a certain extent. However, I prefer to reserve my ire for the people who really deserve it - our awful politicians in particular the fat Boris Johnson who thinks his politics are better than anyone else´s.

SS, can I use your sentence for my language students as the "could of" part, is a fine example of the pronunciation of the phrase in spoken English?

I’m going to be honest with you...

I’ve just googled what you were referring to as I didn’t really get what you meant , and even after reading about it for a few minutes I still don’t. <laugh>
