The very least you'd expect from a £200m player tbh

My point was psg like City are a team who don't often meet a side who can match them and more so have an actual go at them , when they do you can see how much stones they have.

We have to be cautious of course, but so do they, and they aren't used to having to worry about the opposition too much

This ^

Teams like PSG and City are used to teams parking the bus against them and trying to snatch a point, or at best a 1-0 smash and grab victory.

If you come at them they dont like it so much.

Exactly. It still irks me how Conte just tried to keep the score down twice last season against City. Total surrender of 6 points.

The price is ridiculous, you can’t argue about that.

The problem for PSG is the quality of the league they play in. Their only real challengers are Monaco, they usually piss on everybody else. So, just about any CL game is a step up for them.

City, I think, will be more aware next time you play them.

I hear what you're saying, and you'd expect pep to be more aware of our strengths next time we play.
But At the moment I don't think there's a side in Europe we should be fearful of, cautious and respectful yes but not fearful as we can match anyone currently.

So bring em on!

The other problem is, on the flip side, is that more and more teams are more aware of City's weakness this season too.
For example, in the draw against Wolves, Wolves came at them and could have easily won the game, so could have City to be fair, both teams had enough chances to win it....but if you just sit back and defend for 90 minutes and try to keep the score down, all it takes is one mistake or loss of concentration and players like Sane, Silva, Aguero, Sterling etc will punish you.

Same with Newcastle vs us this a couple weeks back, Rafa parked 8 men in their 18 yard box for most of the game and made zero attempt to go forward until we scored, and we still won the game because players like Hazard, Pedro etc will find a way to punish you.....unless your team put on a defensive masterclass and keep 100% concentration for 90 minutes, you will eventually concede whilst under the kosh.
If you come at them, however, they get rattled (to use the forums favourite buzzword) and start doing loose passes etc

True.

Although we’re off the boil currently, any of the top six can match any European side on the right day.

I never thought I’d see us dominate and beat Real as we did last year at Wembley. But we did.

So, yeah, go for it.

Another good example....Real play 4 tough matches a season in La Liga (El Classico and the Madrid Derby).
I know they were going through a slump when Spurs played them, but Spurs didnt show them too much respect and just sit back, you came at them and they got rattled.
Too many teams, I feel, have an inferiority complex when playing bigger sides and are too scared.
Even if it means you get the odd 4-0 thrashing, i think its better to play to your strengths and try to actually win games.....

With Sane restored to the team, City look even more dangerous. He gives them the pace on the counter that they lack without him. Sterling is quick, but Sane is quicker.

I’d agree. It’s difficult to break down any well organised two banks of four.

Pedro blows hot and cold. Hazard, you’d better pray doesn’t get badly injured or worse still leaves. You’re not the same team without him.

Although la liga is getting more competitive all the time. Teams like Bilbao don’t just roll over for anybody anymore.

True about Hazard. Same as Eriksson for you. Easily your best player. Fancy selling him to us?

Agree, he is defo our main man attacking wise, now that Costa has ****ed off and Cesc has no legs left.
Jorginho looks like he is decent, and Kovacic. Its a shame Kov is only on loan.
Our shortcoming is that we need a striker. Morata is pants and Giroud is past his prime and was never a worldie to begin with, though his scoring record is decent.
Next summer Sarri needs to go all out to get someone like Griezman, even if it means spending £150m.

He didn’t vanish though. He was still causing problems well into the second half. Although M’bappe was the bigger threat.

Neymar was non existent.

I'm sure you watched a different game or we're you do angry Liverpool easily beat PSG after you're own humiliation....

No, wasn’t.

You obviously watched it through your red tinted special kopite specs.

It was so easy you needed an extra time goal to save 2 points! <laugh>
