    That'll be me. If I'm awake at 6.30 and he's on, I re-tune to radio 5.
If it's Sara Cox or someone sitting in, I'll stick with radio 2.
My tweet when I heard this morning:- <laugh>

    Jon Dunn‏@cromercanary

Just heard that @ChrisEvans is quitting the early morning program on @BBCRadio2. Wonderful news, hope they choose his replacement wisely. I can't be doing with the radio equivalent of #Tiswas at 6.30 in the morning so won't listen to the ginger twerp.

I must be getting old (?) but I listen to - and quite enjoy Bob Harris
    country music prog on a Wednesday evening 8 - 9 p.m. I think.
The only 2 I really dislike are Evans and Craig Charles.

England's highest Test run-scorer Alastair Cook will retire from international cricket after this week's final Test against India.

The opener, 33, has scored 12,254 runs and made 32 centuries in 160 Tests - all England records.

One who really can be called a legend
Thanks Ali,its been a pleasure watching you.

    **Totally off topic alert**

    Woe is me!! <wah>
I've recently had to switch from peritoneal dialysis to haemodialysis which means a fluid restricted diet. No more than 1.2 litres in total per day - to include things like gravy, custard, jelly, yogurt, ice cream etc. Apart from good yogurts, I'm not fussed about jelly etc BUT as I love a cuppa Rosie Lee (or two!) that leaves no room for a pint of Abbot Ale <wah>
Beer is defo a thing of the past and as dialysis (barring a transplant) is ongoing, how am I going to cope sans amber nectar? :emoticon-0101-sadsm

Sorry to hear that Cromer I used to house share with a lad who finally had a transplant, he wasn't a drinker so what excited him most was being able to enjoy his favourite food, the humble banana, a definite no-no when on dialysis because of the potassium therein

Indeed so. Apart from the fluid restriction, foods high in potassium, phosphate (Cromer crab <grr>) and sodium (salt) have to be watched closely. Got home from hospital at 8.30 on Weds and didn't feel like cooking so had a standard sized, 400 gm microwave ready meal - which contained 36% of my daily salt intake!
Regular blood tests flag up if any of the above are creeping up and my potassium and phosphate levels are within acceptable limits at present.
Ironically, I got to Cromer dialysis unit on Weds at 4 p.m., on the machine by half past and was immediately asked if I wanted a cup of tea <yikes> 'Just half, please' was the long faced reply <laugh>
Sorry all, not after the sympathy vote at all, just explaining my recent spells in hospital and absences from the forum. Last word on the subject <ok>
