why not go the whole.hog?

Club Brugge, Galatasaray, Young Boys, Inter Milan, Hoffenheim and AEK Athens

pick a 4th seeded team.

remember if we avoid the Italian second seeds it increases chances of inter.

just the long trip to Turkey is awkward there par se for our team.

I want to see us get to last 16 in CL (well want us to win it)
FA Cup, want us in the final (well want us to win it)
PL top four and I will be happy (well I want to see us win it)
LC if not going to win it happy to go out in first round we play in (but I want to see us win it)

CL at least last 8 minimum
FA Cup Semi's (but want to win it)
PL Top 4 (no excuse)
LC would like to win again (we are short of them) but would be happy with semi/final dependant on who gives it a go and who chucks it.

Ref bottled that as it was a definite penalty. Shame, as it’d been a cracking game tbf, and shouldn’t have ended like that.
 
Our current UEFA club coefficient is defined by 3 things

1. Failure to play in Europe in 2013/14.. that advantage inndomesyic league everyone prattled on about does actuslly hurt long term. Even send out kids and lose in groups in Europe and lfc would be in pot 2 now

2. Klopp putting all eggs in one basket and failing to have European football in 2016/17

3. Reaching two finals and getting big points for winning games along the way.

Now 2013/14 will be wiped out next year so barring a disaster of unknown proportions lfc will have 4 years of coefficients... 2016/17 will have an effect on us for years.


Let me just point to inter and a.c. Milan. Big big clubs but they have dropped out of site in terms of rankings. They will struggle to ever get out of groups for a while.

If we just deliver an average cl campaign and take 15 points we will jump up to being safely in pot 2. We would be probably around 14th to 15th in that case.

The reality then is coefficient only really matters on the day of the draw.... if you win the league you go to pot one, anything else = pot 2.
