Other than pot 1 teams, the rest are all beatable. Even a lot of the pot 1 teams can be beaten and certainly won't want us

exclude the English teams in I and you get down to a list of Borussia Dortmund, Porto, Shakhtar Donetsk, benfica, Napoli and Roma

having seen those teams if we avoid the Italians there's a good chance for off to go the others at Anfield to progress.

it's simple enough... 6 points off 4th seed and 4 min of 2nd seed. then the assumption is the top seed games are bonus points.

it'll be in the head to head with whichever 2nd seed that our fate will be decided

That would seem more sensible, any team wanting to challenge has got to be virtually fautless in the league currently. CL is probably a more realistic target along with other cups at the moment.
What would you co sider a success this year. Not swallowing this how much everyone has spent twaddle.
I want to see us get to last 16 in CL (well want us to win it)
FA Cup, want us in the final (well want us to win it)
PL top four and I will be happy (well I want to see us win it)
LC if not going to win it happy to go out in first round we play in (but I want to see us win it)

Assuming we don't get lucky in pot 1 and draw Loko, Atleti would be the only team I'd want to avoid as they are our kryptonite imo.

tbh... I just don't buy the press crap about burnely game. i think you are right that cl groups will be where it's at.
