Does Wilder just go after players we want? First Norwood and now Johnson.

Perhaps Lee Darnbrough does have an idea of the type of player we need to be competitive at this level if Sheffield United are showing an interest (they will not struggle this season). The blame here rests solely with our contemptible owners.

Darnbrough will send his usual email 40 minutes before the end of the transfer window begging for any players*

*strictly no loan fee
**Must already be injured

You make a rational point about Darnborough but there isn't much room on here for rational debate about Lee Darnborough. I've no idea whether he is any good or not but surely it's true that he too is hampered by funds and how difficult the club is to sell to players at the moment

If it’s simply a loan. There’s no issue coming here. They’ll get to play games as let’s be honest the squad depth and quality is non existent. Plus they are only here for a fixed short term period.

No issues at all.

Long term contracts will obviously be a potential issue.

Maybe this belongs on other transfers thread, but an example of what a loan player can do. A Manchester jCity one at least. Fast foward to 1.58 for as little exposure to TWS as possible.

He's never stopped knocking the door down. Ffs.

Difference between asking for / pleading the case for signings and pretty much literally knocking the door down.
Who know's what goes on behind the scenes in reality. We don't. I imagine Nige has been doing the former up until now.
I also wonder if when he goes through that door he can see the table that all these bids are on?

Agreed. And his and others’ tenures at this club will do nothing for their respective careers/ reputations.

The owners are operating a ‘scorched earth’ policy from the inside out removing anything good (or of value) from the infrastructure/ playing staff. With each and with passing day making it less and less attractive to any prospective buyers not to mention slowly but inexorably destroying the football club and dividing its fan base.

He's publicly called for signings for months and months. More than I can remember any other managers. If he's vocal publicly why would he be quiet privately.
So youre calling him for not doing what you think he's not doing though you don't know. Great.

Spot on <ok> He's repeatedly expressed the desperate need for investment and he's being ignored. What can he do?
