The question is, was he even an upgrade on Ollie?
Yes, but only in the same way as a punch on the hooter is an upgrade to a knee in the knackers. Or something.

Some Preston fans said that he travelled back on their train after the match.By the way, I sat next to an ex-employee of the club at the cup game the other day. He used to work for the uni that loans Harlington to QPR and then he worked at QPR as a trainer. I forgot his name...
Anyway, he said he met McClaren after the first game of the season and McClaren didn't go on the team coach with the players. He instead went back to London in a chauffer driven car. This guy asked him what message might that send to the players and apparently McClaren's response was "Oh, I like a car."
Are you ready to read a painfully honest report on Saturday’s fiasco?

Did anybody say any of those things? I don't think I did. I'm just saying and others are agreeing that Holloway worked under the same financial constraints as Maclaren. TBF it is only three games so far but it's not good and the clock is ticking. All the repeated talk about Holloway, and his achievements, seems to forget all the poor football from last season. The lack of interest from fans at the football we played - who haven’t made their way back to watching us. The bizarre team selections week after week after week. The fact he was pressed into using youngsters (then making it out to be a master stroke).
I’m as mad and frustrated as the next guy about the lack of replacement of experience in the squad and the poor start - which I can’t say I am surprised at (however I don’t accept a 7-1 loss by either the team or the management). But to say Holloway is/was the answer are definitely being selective. He was/is a passionate QPR man, and I thank him for the job he did, but he had done all he could. Something had to be done to try and move forward. But it’s 3 games - it doesn’t look good; but we need to get our heads up and start to perform (and the board and management need to sort a few loans before the end of the month).
I await the end of the loan period now and will be hoping things improve soon.
Hope soNakhi Wells and Tomer Hemed will come in on loan this week....we’ll start scoring again and we’ll all go back to being happy, positive and looking forward to the future.
You heard it here first.
It's not black, it's black-only. It was my impression after being shafted by Harry Redknapp, Tony made a political decision to go with a black manager. May be it was a trust thing, I don't know. It was a fad he had, it narrowed down those available and didn't pay off. Now he's gone back to faded "names" which isn't paying off either. Rather than really assessing the needs and get the best fit for the club (race or colour immaterial)

Trust me don’t mate, it’s beyond just hurting ya self !!!No.
But I like hurting myself so I'll probably give it a go.
Comedy timing?
Holy ****, ok worried now. Very interesting stats ref number of senior games although a fair few of them wouldn't have been in the championship. Are you ready to read a painfully honest report on Saturday’s fiasco?

Can't disagree with any of thatSeven years to the day after TF took control of a newly-promoted PL team, untold millions of pounds, a revolving door of managers, a record fine, a f*cking transfer embargo and a team heading for the oblivion of League One shipping seven goals to celebrate the anniversary. We're also seeing our near neighbours on a shoestring budget by comparison playing silky smart football and real contenders for promotion with their new ground under construction. He has royally f*cked things up with one broken promise after another. It's gonna be a long way back...

There are many ways in which one could read racism in those comments.
MCCLLLaren (sorry, got confused Uber)
I’m just pissed off about it, yeah. I’m on holiday in Menorca (fly back tomorrow) so s’pose I have more time on my hands.
I’m completely with the “let’s support the team” or “let’s support the manager”. It’s just that McClaren was a ****ing crap appointment in the first place and not much of an upgrade on Ollie in my opinion.
Tres droll. Sorry, Strolls, can’t help myself. I have a fairly unusual surname myself - no I’m not really U Burr - so it just irritates me when people can’t be bothered to learn how to spell their team manager’s name properly.
