Very deliberate, and yes it was a rugby match.
Well the only big copper I can remember who was playing around then was Paul Ackford, big lump of a man. No idea who knocked him out, if it was him, presume it was in an international.

I'll give it to you for Ackford, the perpetrator was the Argentinian Federico Mendez.

I was going to give a clue about him wearing blue-and-white hoops.

I enjoyed that one, but am concerned that I can remember the existence of Paul Ackford but not my PIN.

Stuart, Palmerston and Bearbrass are the original (well the original colonial) names of three towns in Australia which are all now called something else. What are they called now (they are all places you will have heard of)?

Can't think of any possible connection between those names, apart from the fact that Stuart and Palmerston were British Prime Ministers. On that basis, I'll guess that they were convict colonies. Sydney, Perth and Brisbane?

0/3 I’m afraid Strolls.

Come on Strolls I have just downed a third of a bottle of Dom Perignon to celebrate my daughter not getting the grades she was predicted but somehow ending up at a better Uni because of it. I fancy some random guessing on a brain teaser.

OK, I've been racking my brain to come up with something better, but what links the following tracks.....?

Space Oddity - Bowie
Get It On - T Rex
Morning Has Broken - Cat Stevens

Yes, too easy. You made me go with a question that I knew to be inferior.
It was a decent question and it was a guess on what session musician could have featured on all three. Think I knew that Rick had played on the Cat Stevens song, knew that he played on a lot of Bowie stuff but thought it was later than Space Oddity, and expected Get it On to catch me out because I was sure Elton John played on it.

Now I have to think one up, give me 5......

you have had 14

Who comes next in this sequence:
Roy Jenkins
Iain McLeod
Anthony Barbour

I think Mcleod and Barbour were Chancellors, but I only remember Jenkins as Home Secretary. If it is Chancellors, it must be back to Labour. Callaghan?

That’s the lad. Jenkins held all the great offices of state except PM, and Callaghan (who preceded Jenkins as Chancellor) was the only person so far to have held all of them. Though even Boris Johnson our future leader will do well to beat the Duke of Wellington who was PM, Home Secretary and Foreign Secretary simultaneously.

Damn, that’s a good question wasted.
