Petrol - no. Its hydrocarbons. If you are going to drink it though use unleaded. Don’t want to die of lead poisoning.
Methylated spirits - technically yes but methanol added to dissuade you from drinking it. However methanol has some positive side effects as it breaks down into formaldahyde and formic acid. Latter will kill you, former makes sure you are at least very well preserved.

Just checked into a hotel in Saumur after a 6 hour drive from the Averyon ...going out for some grub now and that first cold beer ... not as hot as it has been but still around 25c .... another long drive tomorrow then back home in time for middle girl to get her A Level results on Thursday <cheers>

I knew it was coming because I had the audacity to ask why it's both acceptable for Saxton to insult people and how is he allowed to post links to events that have no political content.
