If he keeps the stores running and saved the 17000 jobs that are at risk I for one will applaud him despite his association with them up the road.
However if he fills the stores with the tat he sells in his sports direct emporiums then that's another matter altogether.
I hear they are protesting at the one on Northumberland Street tomorrow. If he keeps the stores running and saved the 17000 jobs that are at risk I for one will applaud him despite his association with them up the road.

Ours in Darlo is getting the Chop, if he saves them hats off too him. They're still closing about 60 stores. And unfortunately for me, those nearest to me.
He will need to reduce expenditure in his other business ventures to fund this one
Owns a massive chunk of Debenhams as well doesn’t he?
As said he’s an incredible businessman, no question.
Not at all jd.
Each business are separate entities.
My son-in-law just did a whole load of research on the guy and his businesses in preparation for a job interview with one of them.
Trust me, the guy ain't short of a penny.
The bugger's a shrewd ****er. And loaded!
He owns Flannels too doesn't he?
Apparently so, yeah. Never seen it, but it is apparently an "up market" clothes shop

You'd look lovely in anything BriOh they sell some nice clobber mate. Very expensive and usually in sizes too small for me
But he's opened one in Darlington. He's ****ed up there like. It will lose money 100% here. Not that we're a poor town, just don't think the population has enough high earners to shop there when the same lines are 3rd cheaper online. Saying that it might do ok with our little Van Mildert closing though it was a small store for a reason. This Flannels is pretty big.
