I know but he'd be bound to score against his former club!

I think in reality we all know he isnt that good and likely never will be a regular starter for us. But the fact he is an academy lad means we have to pull the wool over our own eyes. Get with the programme mate!Interesting that the couple of 'strongest squads' mentioned so far have no place in the 18 for JWP, after everyone was so desperate to keep hold of him earlier today.
I didn’t see any of the Borussia Moenchengladbach game but everyone who posted on here about it confirmed that our play improved when JWP came on. That’s what he does, he gets other people to play better.I think in reality we all know he isnt that good and likely never will be a regular starter for us. Hope you enjoy his winner against Brighton in a few weeks![]()
Clearly getting back at Burnley for trying to sign Ward Prowse last minute.
Now the guaranteed ex player goal will be ours![]()
As a loan though for this year, it means that he can't play against them this year home and away in the league, nor when we meet them in the cup final.
I've not seen Ings enough to really know much about him. How would you characterise his play?
Lucas Perez had a longer contract to run on a higher salary. By all accounts, Arsenal weren't exactly in a position to spark up a bidding war for him, either.Reality is we need to sell to pay for him.
WetHam got Perez for 4M, and I find that a bit of a joke
Smacks of desperation to me
There’s no doubt he could potentially be a good edition, but I’m underwhelmed. There should be more to signing a player than whether he is home grown or not. Smacks of desperation to me
Sounds like we have been in talks with Ings for a little while and he knew about our interest.
@Black I understand. JRod, is a lovely guy, popular and likeable. Scored loads for a season and then lost 3 years to injury. We ended up shipping him out because we didnt give him a chance to get on the pitch. To then go and sign a player who ticks almost every box on that list does seem somewhat circular.
