If we start to play attractive football again then the crowds will be good. Win and the Liberty will be full. I think all we can do this season is hope the team gels and starts to become a wining team as the season progresses. Build it and they will come.
So,that's Fernandez confirmed as gone...but no word on ayew...now that deal falling through would be poetic justice!
Whilst I agree with the general thrust of your post, given that many ‘supporters’ are success chasers rather than fans, I would suggest: ‘Win matches and they will come’.....
Although by now we probably shouldn't be calling it a shambles. Should just be, 'ah I see we had your average Swansea city transfer window'.
I'm not so sure about the hysteria Vetch, but I'm more bloody mad than anything else as to what these asset strippers are doing to our club, you do realise that 16 players have left and 5 have come in!! Not sure how many will come in under the Loan window, but we are heading for choppy waters with this squad so wafer thin, there is no way we can get through this season, when we start getting injuries, it's a bloody disgrace from the boardroom, no other way to present it, even the most one eyed Jenkins sycophant cannot be happy with whats happening to our club................
How long do you think it`ll be before Curt is in charge again? I honestly can`t see Potter staying and ruining his reputation after this shambolic show of investment by the yanks. Investments taking a trip over the sea and not to Skye.
Well three have gone to pastures new and just one arrival on deadline day.....I'm a tad disappointed with that but we can still get players on loan and i think we may need a couple.....I'm sorry to see Fernandez leave and I'm not bothered about Clucas and J Ayew but i would have liked the club to show some bottle over Ayew and made him stay due to his antics. Ithink Clucas would have improved under Potts but we will never know now and what is done is done and they are now the enemy so to speak.....As far as the ex Cardiff ex Rangers player then he starts with a clean sheet and we must welcome him to Jack land and not give him a hard time because he was a Blueturd as he has improved his status becoming a Jack Bastard. It is all down to potts and the coaches now to to get the players motivated and believing in themselves and after a superb win against Sheffield united away i believe Potts and Co can do it......We are a bit thin on the ground so we cant afford many injuries and i would hope they have a couple of loanees up their sleeve.. I arrived back in the UK this morning at 6:15 am so i am jet lagged at the moment but i am use to it by now ....COYS..
"There's not an unlimited supply of funds so we have to rely on players going out as part of the restructuring, so that's a bit frustrating but it's part of the challenge," said Potter. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/45102447 Ayew to Palace on season-long loan.
I suppose that given the fact that our total expenditure last year totalled £127m - including £99m for payroll costs - then I can understand the need to take the knife to the cost base. Our beloved Chairman cost the club £633k
Is that how much our payroll costs were? Well ****. How on Earth... nay! WHO on Earth were we paying nearly £2m a week to?!?
