We have to sell before we Buy.
So estimated sales £38-40 million Spent estimated on incoming £7 million and we couldn't afford £6.5 million for Ryan Wood.and are threadbare at CB. That's why I am fuming.

The dust has settled on the window, so now it's loans with agreements to buy in January. I bet some players will arrive very soon, and everyone will be smiling. Well, almost everyone, since some have forgotten what it is to smile. I smile a lot, in fact I've been laughing most of the day reading this site. <laugh>

The reality of relegation and the Club having to financially adapt to the The Championship has hit home, and hard. Today's transfer window deadline day was a bitter pill to swallow for some, and their anger and disappointment was palpable.
So, we start again, and hope for better days.

I used the word ' hysteria ' earlier, but what I really meant was to say

I was smiling on Saturday leaving Sheffield and there has been a general feel good factor this week. I think the three big issues this window are (I) our failure to land Nmecha (ii) our failure to land Woods and (iii) the selling of both Amat and Fernandez after both Bartley and Mawson had already gone.

I understand the need to lower the wage bill, but to do it on such a drastic scale says a lot about the way the current owners want to operate. Parachute payments are there for a purpose.

Yes, we may land a few loanees which may put a smile on our face in coming weeks, but the issue here is how the Club has operated. Future possible signings will avoid us like a plague if they have any sense. There is already a whisper that Potter has gone!

I wonder how Ryan Woods is feeling about our Club this evening.

You were always going to lose more than you signed in this window with the need to use the loan market after deadline day.
From a management point of view the thing that is inexcusable is how unbalanced the squad has become, particularly CB.
I thought your performance last week, especially coming from behind, showed very positive signs and a good squad spirit. Backing that up this week has been made a lot harder.
I hope Potter stays, but it would be understandable if he looked for a way out.
A difficult few weeks ahead on and off the field.

Today is the culmination of years of the pigs feeding from the trough , the bones are being picked clean ,next it'll be the fixtures and fittings ,anything to satisfy the "investors " ( I wonder if some posters on here still consider them to be the saviours of he Club), but hi ho there's still the loan window for our next dose of hope , the same hope that was raised when jerkins stated he would seriously consider his position should we be relegated or the hope when the yanks again stated that lessons have been learned and they'll do their best on and off the field to make us as competitive as possible. Its the hope that's kills you in the end .
