Agree with the statement but it does therein show how we are directionless about this transfer window, as we have over the past couple of years... all the signs of a management structure that has no strategic planningIngs can't score any less than Long so it's a good deal for me
Honestly.... I know I’ll get shot down.... but I couldnt and can’t stand either of those players....
Being talented doesn't necessarily make you a likeable person...I just want to slap Ronaldo whenever I see him. Not that he would care about that.I’m not going to shoot you down. I just wonder why you can’t stand two of the best players ever to have laced on a pair of boots?

As strange as it sounds.... I just don’t rate Messi that highly. It’s an old adage, but can he do it on a cold Tuesday night in Bolton. Although I appreciate his achievements, I just think they are need to be taken in the context of where he’s playing, who he’s with, who the opposite team are etc. In the great Ronaldo v Messi debate, I don’t see it as a debate as Ronaldo (love him or hate him) has tested himself wherever he has been, yes, he’s ben to the top clubs in whichever country he has been in, but we know he can do it on a cold Tuesday in Bolton, Celta, and soon Bologna.
In my limited opinion, Messi goes missing internationally whereas Ron has dictated the careers of some pretty ordinary Portuguese players in big tournaments.
As for Maradonna, I didn’t really live through his generation, however, the sheer arrogance of that handball shouldn’t just be outweighed by the fact he scored other good goals. He was better than most players around him, I’ll leave it at that.

Just about old enough to watch Pele in Mexico 1970 to appreciate his incredible quality, in all the years since the emergence of Maradona, l have never understood how Maradona was ever compared to Pele, no where near Pele's ability, and as for integrity; a different universe. As strange as it sounds.... If I dislike someone, then them having talent makes me dislike them more. It's being a smug bastard that I hate about Ronaldo and he probably wouldn't be smug without talent.I understand that. But surely it's possible to put aside personal feelings about the individual, and just admire the talent? It's nice to like the player, but genius has always been pretty indiscriminate about who it chooses to bless.
I don’t know; try and develop what you have (which isn’t bad let’s face it). Let the coaches coach. Maybe they can be stronger as a team without new signings. Good luck to them. Vile....???They’ll regret that !
But nothing makes me happier than seeing spurs come unstuck , ****ing vile club !![]()

You may have a point about Messi , a case can be made for him being a little overrated. I wouldn't make it myself , but I can see why you might.
Not Maradona though. I still feel the pain of that " hand of God goal" - but that's not my main memory of that game. No need to refer to the rest of his career, his other goal in that game was sublime, one of the best I've ever witnessed, or ever will.
