It's only a bit of fun but never mind - take it all to heart if you want.

Middle-aged irrational Brexiteers are the ultimate snowflakes.

You're just upset because you wasn't there when Jensen scored and Gallen Allen and Impey.

While I am, in general, avoiding Brexit related stuff, I’ll comment on this because I think it’s non contentious.

What crap journalism. The assumption that we will run out of food is based on the non existent possibility of us not importing any food from anywhere. We will continue to import, even from the EU countries, there will be some issues around bureaucracy for a bit in the event of a no deal Brexit which might impact timelines for deliveries and prices (and prices will go up if the £ goes down)The headline ignores the fact that the NFU bloke is arguing for more UK food production, not no Brexit. Useless.

So why do they write this crap? people are always moaning how Brexitiers use the term 'project fear' but when you keep reading rubbish like this (from the Guardian) you can see why.

Agree with most of this. I don't see why he can't mock this medieval practice. He's not a minister now and should not apologise. No one wants to converse with someone in a Darth Vader outfit. Kay Burley of Sky is outraged that people don't want to. Of course.

Bloody hell Goldie as I sit here in the EU having a cold beer I have Sky news on in the background. Sadly I can only pick up about 6 stations. I saw her outrage when that Tory MP was saying he agreed with Boris.
He shut her up when he was reeling off the EU countries that have banned it and said something like remainers liking the EU and their laws. Factamondo had a classic calling Kay Burley Skeletor. <laugh>

She was asked whether she would mind interviewing someone with a moterbike helmet and visa down. She said no. Liar. I wish someone would turn up to her interview with face covered. She'd be heavily pissed off

I always thought that news presenters were supposed to be impartial? She is definitely isn't. I don't care what their personal views are they should just tell the story.

I don’t read the Guardian and haven’t for 35 years. It just says what it thinks it’s demographic want to hear, like all the others. I read the Times, which is not unbiased but does include a lot of leader comment from both sides of the argument, and I don’t necessarily take anything at face value.

We need to filter and cross check everything and I can understand why most people can’t be bothered. It’s our friendly chats on this thread which encourage me to dig a little deeper, especially on the background of the writers.

Just heard again what he the Tory MP said.
"So many people in this country are pro the EU yet they won't say a word about those countries that ban it".
It reminds me of the anti-Trump demonstrators who didn't bother demonstrating against the Saudi Prince and all those other lovely heads of states.

What if I back their rights to make their own laws but I’m not particularly bothered either way about this one? I can see both sides of the argument and would err on the side of banning it if up to me but can’t say it hugely affects my existence. I doubt it affects many of this predominantly white, male board.

I read the Times for a bit as I got a free copy on the train to London. When I changed routes I started reading the Torygraph. Sadly they lost some of their best reporters (died) and it sort of changed. Now I don't read as many papers. Mostly online stuff but that can be a minefield.

TBH I don't really care Watford. If people want to wear that stuff then they do but they should also remember it goes deeper than just a bit of clothing.

This fake outrage over Johnson's comments is a handy distraction from the really nasty Islamophobia that does exist within the Tory party. Whilst it's funny old, bumbly old, Boris and the majority of people really would like to ban the Burka anyway, there really isn't anything to be concerned about, is there?

Oh, and re your earlier post Goldie, Theresa May is emphatically not of 'the centre'.

I doubt any of us really care, hence I find it a bit odd you’d expect people in favour of EU membership being up in arms about it.

Boris is doing it to build his support. May has called for him to retract which helps him, by putting clear blue water between them.

Let's say May is nearer the centre than any other leader in Parliament

I never said that a Tory MP did. I discussed the connections between the hypocrite Trump demonstrators and the comment he made actually.
