Because despite your feelings about me some are mates and shock horror they told me. It will become obvious who they are soon enough, besides I hope they change their mind.
And there was me thinking you’d been exchanging PMs and using your wooden spoon, silly me, should have known better.
????You 've lost me. I was merely pointing out your signature saying you've got to have rules and obey them, something your seeming to have difficulty doing
Aaahhh sorry, confused that with my avatar. My signature relates to the English not those semi French from down south.
No disrespect because they’re your mates, I don’t know them and I enjoy reading their posts, but isn’t it all a bit Drama queenish to flounce off in a huff because one thread has been asked to remain on topic??
Not for me to answer for them. Turning it around isn’t it a bit stupid not just ignoring posts that irritate the ignore function does work...
Will just say the 1 thing. It is a great shame that some people are trying to change the semantics of a board that has lasted this long (7 years and counting). Posters such as Shaks, Chesh, Olof, Este,Bucks et al have always used whatever threads they like to say whatever they like. Not sure why you want to change this - if you are pandering to the newbies? - Feck em!! I have stopped posting on your matchday threads and will continue to give them a swerve as you have all become a bit "precious"
TC, Obviously you can't please ALL of the people all of the time. We've asked for one thread out of the 24,000 odd threads to stay on topic. There was a bit of banter in some of the comments that went up, which we expected... There were other comments which were meant to test us which were a mixture of banter and on topic - to test us There were some borderline posts which if we didn't delete, posters could accuse of of favoritism, and they too had to be removed as they weren't technically on topic. The dynamics of the board have not changed. Posters generally have a free reign. We have only asked for the match day thread to stay on topic. We're happy to talk about it, or a compromise. I for one, do not think I / we are being unreasonable.
If posters like Jammy are leaving, posters like myself are swerving, and Este & Shaks' posts are getting deleted, they most certainly HAVE changed IMHO
I don’t have anyone on ignore, don’t see the point and I’m not on one side or the other about the match day thread staying on topic, neither have I asked for it to be the case. I read through and reply to the posts that interest me. I don’t deny I find that some of the banter drags on for me so I just skim through. Just can’t understand the reaction to being asked for one thread to be left on topic. Maybe that’s just me.
We hear that a lot from posters. Some get fed up of pages of banter - others love it. Can there be a happy medium where just the match day thread stays on topic? Perhaps having an on topic and off topic match day thread could work? It would be easy to duplicate. The mods aren't the gestapo. If anyone has any sensible ideas to work round this, let's hear them.
I don’t have an issue with being asked to keep just one thread on topic. I dip in and out of the banter when I find it funny. And being a boring **** I’d read both
Haha ! In other words, you've been given a "Get out of jail free" card, I'm sure there was lots you wanted to say after yesterday !!!!!.
Didn't watch the game or look at the thread tbh - but can guarantee it's almost a carbon copy of the 1st day last season.....and season before etc etc etc but with a twist - all the stuff worth reading has been deleted
