1/ We don’t need to make money, we have money.
2/ We don’t need to sell players.
3/ See 1/ we have money you Putz, we just ain’t Effin allowed to spend any money.
4/ See 2/ again WE DONT NEED TO SELL PLAYERS..

Chery and Freeman are quite similar... plenty of natural talent but absolutely woeful with decision making and ending up losing possession more often than keeping it.

The big difference is that Freeman seems to try hard and care as where Chery was just a selfish, careerist ****.

So, basically Freeman seems to be a bit of an idiot regarding team play and tactics. Which can be coached out of him if someone confronts it head on.

Half the team were idiots regarding team play and tactics under Holloway. He is a player we need to keep to have any sort of even minimum ambition

James Perch made just seven appearances for QPR in 2017-18
Scunthorpe United have signed former QPR midfielder James Perch on a two-year deal.

The 32-year-old left the R's at the end of the 2017-18 campaign after making 74 league appearances in three seasons.

Perch, who has also had spells with Nottingham Forest, Newcastle and Wigan, could make his debut in Saturday's League One game at Coventry City.

EXCLUSIVE: IAN HOLLOWAY SPEAKS TO FOOTBALL LEAGUE WORLD ABOUT QPR

Former Queens Park Rangers manager Ian Holloway believes the club need to make some more signings to push on next season.

QPR opted for a change of direction this summer and parted ways with Holloway to bring in Steve McClaren as his replacement.

But Holloway believes that the talented crop of youngsters at the West London club need some more experience alongside them to achieve a better league position.

Speaking exclusively to FLW writer Jay Williams at the launch of the new EFL highlights show on Quest TV, Holloway told us: “They need to make some signings, they need some experience. We knew that was on the cards.”

“Obviously Steve [McClaren] is going to be the one choosing them now and not me. I wish him all the best.

“There was a lot of work done, there are some really good young players who were helped by the senior ones who were leaving and they really need to make some signings so I hope he can get who he wants.”

When pressed about where QPR need to strengthen, Holloway insisted that defence was the priority.

The Hoops lost Nedum Onuoha, James Perch and Jack Robinson at the end of last season – all three of whom departed on free transfers – but have added Toni Leistner to strengthen their options.

Holloway said: “They really need to make some defensive signings, I think, to add a bit of experience back there and maybe a midfield player to make sure that all those young lads are able to progress and grow.”

During Holloway’s stint in charge at Loftus Road, he was often praised for blooding in young players – something which has not been done as much as it perhaps could have been at QPR in recent years.

The likes of Paul Smyth, Ryan Manning, Eberechi Eze, Bright Osayi-Samuel, Ilias Chair, Darnell Furlong and Joe Lumley all enjoyed some first-team game time towards the end of last year and Holloway is very excited about the young talent that QPR have to offer.

Holloway said: “:ittle Paul Smyth of Ireland was just a breath of fresh air – absolutely a total live-wire. I thought Ryan Manning did superbly well and so did Darnell Furlong.

“I ended up putting him as a right-sided centre-back in a back three and he was absolutely outstanding.”

Queens Park Rangers midfielder was an integral part of the side last season, but his future is in doubt.

Manager Steve McClaren will want to hold onto the attacking player, but the club are willing to sell if any potential buyer matches the club’s £3million valuation.

Freeman signed for the London club 18 months ago for £350,000 from Bristol City and has since turned into a fans’ favourite at Loftus Road.

Middlesbrough and West Bromwich Albion have both been linkedwith the 26-year-old this summer having both lost wide men they wish to replace.

Last season Freeman scored six goals in 48 appearances for the Hoops, registering 12 assists.

His performances and contribution to a struggling side were the highlights for Rs’ fans as they finished 16th in the division.

QPR seem to have given in rather quickly in admitting the price that Freeman can go for, we here at FLW discuss whether the club should do more to keep him on their books.

Gary Hutchinson

I’m not convinced they should, not if they can spend that money wisely.

He’s a good player for them, but I’m not sure he can’t be replaced.

Alfie Burns

The fee is low.

Freeman was influential at Loftus Road last season and is surely worth more than that to QPR.

They’re basically letting him go for peanuts.

Chris Gallagher

This is ridiculous from QPR.

Freeman is their best player, and easily their most creative, so the fact they are willing to let him go for just £3m is bizarre.

McClaren should be building the team around him.

The fee reported is a joke.

Apart from Massimo Luongo, Freeman is up there as one of their best players, and if he is only worth £3million, do the club even rate him?

Either someone can’t value players correctly, or they are looking to make a quick bit of money to help with their FFP fine.

David Mac reporting we have rejected an offer from Boro for Freeman, but talks are continuing despite TF saying he was not for sale. He says Sheffield U are also interested. If we get 10 million plus for him we might have a reasonable deal.

I really hope we don't sell him, even if it is £10m who we gonna get to replace him (2 or 3 players that will probably be more of the same of what we have)....what we really need is to add a couple of solid experienced players.

.....and a Striker :-)

A deal that weakens our team and will probably mean we don’t get adequate alternative players in before the deadline. With no winter window we’d be screwed and the money would vanish into the club. Only QPR would sell their best two players and not replace them. A reasonable deal it ain’t.

I'm afraid we have to face reality. If we get a good offer (£5m?) we will sell. That's the model now. A club with attendances of 10k-15k and trying to stay in business can't afford to pass on such an opportunity.
