That is a shame as I am a huge fan of local shops and traditional family-run businesses. Although I did buy my Mac online.
Well I know a great place for hand made Capes. He even trades in Macs If you need high speed that also gives you waterproof protection then go for a Cape Shops come and go in retail in every country ... The markets are alive and kicking
The Tory alt-right are on the march...…….. https://evolvepolitics.com/bbc-sile...etings-with-neo-nazi-accused-of-antisemitism/
Is 48.7% a significant element? Or 35%. Or 15%? I could go on. He did not say ' a majority' or 'most' so your post # 19989 is a misrepresentation or misunderstanding. Even Ellers got it right in his post which followed your list of duff questions. '
Interesting item in the news today, presented in shock horror terms, about the supposed doubling in cases of sepsis, a truly horrible and frequently fatal condition. Looks bad on the face of it but digging deeper it becomes pretty apparent that overall death rates haven’t risen, and although reported numbers of sepsis cases have doubled, deaths from sepsis have gone up by 40%. This shows that diagnosis of the disease is getting better (and it’s a difficult one to diagnose and treat) and survival rates are in fact improving. On the Today programme after a long discussion with experts this became clear. Two minutes later in the news headlines it was back to ‘deadly disease doubles’ panic, with none of the nuance. FFS. If you are not capable of communicating complex things accurately and consistently, just don’t bother. PS within an hour they started changing the numbers in the reports. Now sepsis has only gone up by a third. Hurrah. Might fall further as the day goes on.
What amuses me is that hard-left media outlet Evolve Politics, supporter of Jeremy Corbyn, calls itself "truly independent". Right, like Socialist Worker is truly independent. So EP's own description of itself is fake news...not a good start
We're into August silly season. Expect a stop-press report later today, on what cossie Theresa's wearing on the beach with Manny Macron
Wouldn't you say that senior Tories holding meetings with this very nasty piece of work is worthy of attention from the media?
I would expect a lot of new politics to start evolving as it seems we have hit the stale bottom Alas Middle Earth will raise and beige that all out. The mice are too many As said before I can’t see our people able to organise a cake sale anywhere without division creeping in I believe political belief must now be rock bottom in the U.K. Trouble is it won’t leave me that this isn’t all carefully designed With no sport to unite the nation and we can’t afford or have the resources for a war it’s very hard to see what is going to evolve Is Pride in Brighton the answer ? I have done so much Pride stuff for corporate since Easter it’s everywhere ... they are well into the opportunities even if they don’t believe any of it Will us homophobes been driven into the sea
Bannon is an extremist. I don't know whether these "secret meetings" took place or, if they did, what their purpose was. I don't see Gove, Johnson or R-M as extremists, but the problem is, the issue on which Bannon is pushing his agenda, namely huge shifts of migration from the Third World into the West, is a very real one. If it's not addressed, there will be many more Bannon's created
That is a thought I am going for a traditional Victorian sponge And for May a traditional mackerel skinned rash vest
Why do you doubt that the meetings took place? The Jewish Chronicle have reported it as well, so it must be true. Gove and Johnson are devious liars who will do anything to advance their own political ambitions. I'd say that their holding meetings with the likes of Bannon is something to be very concerned about and is worthy of more attention from the MSM. Rees-Mogg is already an extremist.
I think those Tories share at least one of Bannon’s extreme positions, that on full on unfettered deregulated free market capitalism, which they don’t talk so much about in public. They were probably interested in Bannon because, odious evil toad that he is, he did play a big role in getting Trump, another ‘if it’s good for me it’s good for everyone’ type elected, and they want some of that pie. Rees Mogg is of course a religious extremist.
If there's a decent independent evidence that the meetings took place, fine. But politicians meet all the time. As Stan says, Bannon had close links with Trump and is still influential in the US. He holds extreme views but he's not a terrorist. Corbyn held meetings with Hamas and the IRA when they were bombing and shooting civilians. I know what I think is worse. I can't get excited about it, unless any UK politician starts to promulgate Bannon's views for purposes of the UK. I don't agree that R-M is an extremist. Any more than Blair and Clegg are extremists for wanting to overturn Brexit. I agree they're all on the extreme ends of the arguments.
I don't agree that R-M is an extremist, political or religious. He believes in the sanctity of life, and in what had been the traditional view that life begins at conception. I don't hold with that, most don't. But he's entitled to that view, he doesn't try and force it on anyone else and I don't believe it makes him an "extremist".
