If only I could play like this, but there again it's not a 6 string so I would be lost.

My electro acoustic bass is a Vintage brand

Really nice guitar
They really are excellent guitars. Anyone thinking of buying a Gibson made after 2002 should do some serious research.

They're ****. They think they can live off their name and it's all falling apart for them now.

I have an electro-acoustic Vintage which is always on hand for a bit of guitar therapy - a good guitar, great value. My electric guitar is a Guild DeArmond M75 which I've had for 19 years, always a good (low cost) alternative to a Les Paul but I don't play this nearly as much as I aught.

No, I nearly did, but the missus wouldn’t let me, she said to leave it as it was the ideal birthday present.

Birthday’s been and gone now. <doh>
A mate of mine was hoping for a turntable for his birthday, from his missus. On the day, she presented him with a wrapped box the right size and shape. Beaming, he eagerly unwrapped said box... It was a ****ing hosepipe for cleaning the car <laugh>

I've not really played as much as I should of should because of the world cup.

What YouTubers do people follow?

Check out Rick Beato for some incredible break-downs of classic songs. He seems to be able to get access to the original multi-track tapes and isolates each instrument to highlight it.

Watch his breakdown of Roundabout by Yes for example

First song I ever learned properly...

Been playing for about 7 or 8 years now, as a lefty it was a bit annoying trying to find the correct stuff to play, as I just could not force myself to do it right handed. Did try to do a Hendrix and play a right-hander upside down, but that didn't last long as I'm not bloody Jimi Hendrix.

Since I got my left handed Fender Jaguar, I've been on it most nights since. Although recently, I've been messing about with synthesisers and keyboards a lot more, need to get back onto my Jag.

I don't follow the channel, but I will always go back to this video.

In terms of music videos on YT, there's a few channels that do 'essays' that I watch often, such as Polyphonic, Middle 8, Lie Likes Music among a couple of others. Same with movie essays - channels like Every Frame a Painting, Now You See It and The Closer Look among others are great viewing.
