...three more names that I think should be on our shopping list.

If we sell Ferdinand we NEED another defender. Onuoha looked decent last year and could do a job again even if just another loan.

As for Scott Dann he's a good defender and at the minute I read Blackburn are in pole position for him. Surely he'd prefer a move to us than Blackburn?

And Chris Samba. An absolute machine. A wall of a man. Could work well alongside the composed O'Shea and Brown combination.

I just think with millions of strikers being linked we need to be thinking of an Anton replacement. He's had a mixed few years but is just now starting to show he is a good defender. I'll wish him luck if he does go <ok>
 
I think with the sale on Anton we should be going for Hutton or Onouha. Onouha knows the club etc and was very versitile however Hutton is a good attacking outlet and O'shea can move into the centre if Hutton came.

We should get either on loan with a view to buy.

I would be happy with Onouha or Hutton/Helmes/Crouch when the window shuts today.
 
I don't think getting Onuoha is an option. He has been quoted as saying he doesn't want to leave the north west because his family is there. Okay he could change his mind but it would be very difficult to prise him away.
 
No point in signing Hutton we have 2 quality rb's already and one dodgy one. Need a LB really.

I would sign Onouha because he is a quality Centre Back.
 
Strikers have to be priority at the moment though, I doubt any defenders will be signed unless we tie up the strikers sharpish.

Definitely - not only that but he is a quality player and would add much strength and depth to the team
