I start pre season tomorrow as well which I am not looking forward to. I have already had to move from glorious winger to shameful fullback last year so I am really looking forward to what a bunch of ****y 21 year olds will be like gassing me constantly.

Edit: Turning 30 is no biggie. 40 is just a number; after 50 though, there is no avoiding the obvious conclusion that it's all downhill from here.

 

40 is when it starts catching up with you though, I agree that 30 is **** all but 40 is a ****er imo.

 

I wish I could have stayed 30 forever.

 

It all goes south after the first major injury, had to give up playing proper football in my early 20's.
