WC fatigued Spurs. New WHL settling in period. No NEW (marquee) SIGNING. All set up for ... another season of en-masse PL "pundits" embarrassment when it comes to us (unless they go for the McNumpty 2017-18 CYA 'defence' ) .
In 2016/17 their total income was £171.3m. and they spend 70% of that on wages. It's ****ing mental. They're gonna borrow half a billion pounds to build a stadium and pay it back? Do me a favour.
It's no wonder Palace value Zaha at £70m when Richy is going for £50m. Wonder what the values of Eriksen and Kane are in this market?
I see Leicester have paid £12.5m for Danny Ward from Liverpool. Who you may ask - Ward is a goalkeeper that could only get 3 appearances (and 4 for Wales) despite having Karius and Mignolet ahead of him. But £12.5m is now a pittance. A sum you pay for a keeper that must be plain awful to not be trusted above those 2 jokers. How recently was £12m a sum you'd pay for a player that'd go straight into your first team. It seems like 5 mins ago to me.
To put into perspective: Hugo Vorm Gazza Rose Davies Jan Foyth Tripps Dier Eriksen Alli Were all bought for lesser fees.
Such a shame most things in the Sun are a figment of some drunken journo's imagination. According to the BBC, the Sun are claiming the the Chavs are trying to sign Joe Hart, please God, let it be true.
So much of it is just transparently bollocks. Today's nonsense is that we're not pursuing Zaha because we're after Grealish. There may be many reasons that we may not go after Zaha. Spending £25m on a player who plays a completely different game, in different areas of the pitch is an irrelevance to anyone but an idiot hack. We're not selling Kieran Trippier to Real Madrid, Sonny was never going to Liverpool, etc., etc. Chelsea are going down the rabbit hole, like Arsenal. 2 years out of the last 3 without CL football is a massive financial hit for a club that is used to that money and the additional sponsorship money that the CL brings, being there every year. Even with all of that, their empire was still propped up by Abramovic loaning the club £30-£50m every year because the stadium's not up to it. Losing Courtois on the cheap doesn't help them at all. Unless they sell Hazard or a fair few that they don't want, they're going to be shopping in the bargain bin like Arsenal. Hart? That may be a stretch but they won't be buying Neymar either.
He has put more than 1bn quid in. There are stories that he has has legal docs drawn up so that in the event of his death, his legal benefactors cannot call that debt in from Chelsky FC (lest his then female trinket decides she wants the money to go full Imelda Marcos) .
Ozil is now allegedly retired from international football. Archaeologists are now carbon dating his skin to identify what year that actually happened.
I wonder what the odds are on Everton to do a Villa in the next 3 or 4 seasons? Paying stupid money for average players without any results and a new stadium in the pipeline. Relegation looming in a few seasons time and saddled with a stupid wage bill.
