No, and neither on citizens rights. At least we wouldn’t renege under a May government or a Corbyn one. Not so sure about a Rees Mogg/Johnson outfit though. These things have been agreed as the price of exit, they should not be tied into the future relationship.

Northern Ireland is a bit different, whatever Johnson thinks.

Agreed, but it isn't what Johnson or Rees-Mogg think - it's what they can persuade their voters to think....

Northern Ireland is the biggest challenge, and one that wasn't even in people's minds when they voted. It should have been.

We have a land border 310 miles long with an EU member state. There HAS to be a proper, legal, enforceable solution to that issue, otherwise any customs or trade arrangements are meaningless.

I chose to confront Jeremy directly and personally to express my anger and outrage at the Labour Party's stance on #Antisemitism and the new code of conduct. I stand by my action as well as my words #EnoughIsEnough

She is clear enough on it mate. Corbyn keeps having problems with the Jewish community, Why?
If it was Farage, he would have been called a racist by now. Once again double standards in politics.

So now you really believe everything that Margeret Hodge says is true ?

There are many Jews who are against what the state of Israel does to the Palestinians....are they anti-Semitic as well ?

It's what we have agreed we owe. Why would all those nations that are supposedly queueing up to do trade deals with us want to do a deal with a nation that doesn't honour its debts?

Agree you should always honour your debts and we don't want to cripple the EU. I don't buy into the fear of people not trading with us and the 'supposedly queueing up' quote....We have already had confirmation from the US/Australia/India/China/Japan so happy days.

Confirmation of what? Anyhow they'll have to wait until we've renegotiated the fifty-odd trade deals that we used to have via the EU, but will have lost.

Confirmation from Trump, India, China, Aussie PM. It has all been said why are you deny it?
As for the other trade deals? You are just using fear. I heard some German bloke last night who says he is "confident we will still be doing trade with the UK, why wouldn't we"? Go and tell all the German Car manufacturers that they will not be selling cars to the UK....Last about 5 minutes. Tell all the French wine companies they will not sell to the UK (their biggest partner)? mmm last until lunchtime then there will be a strike and a deal.
What you need to understand is that this is all about money and big business and they will still be trading with us. They may throw out a few messages of fear but behind the scenes they will be dealing.

What will be next... people didn't realise that banana's not being bent was a myth, so let's have another referendum. Sticks of desperation now.

That's a new one for Project Fear, Cologne, disaffected ex-pats coming back to reek havoc, swivelling road signs, kicking old people's sticks from under them. Except that it won't easy for them to return because after a no-deal, everyone knows that aeroplanes won't fly again :emoticon-0100-smile

Nor can people like you infer that everyone who voted leave didn’t know what they were voting for and would change their mind in a second referendum....but you and your ilk do.

<laugh>.....<laugh>.....<laugh> plus all the companies will be in Europe because they will all be leaving. Especially the one that I get contract work with who have just signed a deal for the next 5 years. I am sure they will now just leave. <laugh>

All the banks are leaving and going to Greece and Italy.:emoticon-0127-lipss What happened to Frankfurt?

Reminds me of when you were talking about disaffected Leave voters doing the same if they don't get the Brexit they wanted. You know the one - no deal, or do I mean Canada-style, or do I mean Norway-style or do I mean all the benefits without any of the payments? Gosh, so many Brexits, so little time to decide...

It stinks of desperation, Ellers. The elite are scared of Corbyns popularity and will try to bring him down by any means necessary. This is just the latest.

It's far more logical to take the position that people simply answered the question they were asked. If the question had stated 'leave with no deal' then I'd go with that assumption - but it didn't.

Let's get onto the truth here. The choice was between Stay (in which case the environment was 100% known - just as we had the day before the referendum) and Leave (which, as many of us said at the time and which has proved true, was completely unknown apart from that one thing - not being an EU member state.) Had the question said "walk away with zero arrangements for customs, immigration, trade, border control in Ireland, and still pay the EU £39 billion) I am absolutely certain that some that voted Leave would not have done so.
