The club have announced Matt Wells has taken over as U18s coach for next season, having previously worked as Scott Parker's assistant - and hopefully he wants to do his grandfather, a certain Clifford William Jones, proud. They have also announced that Paul Bracewell and Ryan Mason will be part of the setup.

We have also announced the latest intake of U18 players
Kacper Kurylowicz, a Polish youth international keeper
Malachi Walcott, an England youth international centre back
Luis Binks, and England youth international centre back who has also been capped by Scotland
Dennis Cirkin, an England youth international full back who has also been capped by Latvia
Harvey White, a midfielder who featured for our U18s last season
Chay Cooper, an attacking midfielder
Rafferty Pedder, a central midfielder with a roguish name
J’Neil Lloyd-Bennett, a pacy winger who also featured for our U18s last season
Troy Parrott, the Ireland U17 international striker we signed last summer
Enock Asante, a forward who the OS make a lot out of his prowess as a 400m and 800m runner at school

Hope the Walcott is no relation.

Having done a little digging about, I've seen a lot of positives about Walcott, Cirkin, Binks and Parrott.

Parrott's a sort-of-known quantity after his performances for the Ireland U17s and his being talked up by Martin O'Neill as the future of Ireland's team, he's drawn (obvious) comparisons with Robbie Keane - although his style of play sounds similar to Harry Kane's
Cirkin sounds like the perfect left back to rotate with Ben Davies, as he's got the pace, control and attacking nous of Rose coupled with the crossing of Trippier, so if he's able to maintain his performances from the Youth level and continue developing he could be a useful player
Binks sounds like a Baby Alderweireld with his combination of composure at the back and some accurate long-range passing
Walcott meanwhile has been blessed and cursed with comparisons to Ledders, as his ability to read the game and composure at the back, coupled with his ability to play out of defence

Obviously these reports are all based on Youth football, which is a very different beast to playing in the PL2 let alone the first team, but hopefully we'll be hearing a lot more about these players in a few years - preferably not because they've buggered off to the Bundesliga or Eredivisie...

Apparently, we should be concerned that due to the longer than expected participation of England in the WC, we may not have Kane available for the first couple of weeks.

Harry not available in August???!!? WTF - how will we cope?? <laugh>

Mind you, missing the other 6 could be a problem......

How will Los Ladrones cope without Varane and Modric?

New kit has finally been announced ...

Atrocious home kit design.

Squad strength / fitness to manage another PL
minimum top 3 campaign is debatable.

New WHL completion still up in the air.

Does Levy actually need the angst/anger/hatred of the supporters
as a food/energy source for sustenance ?? :)

Yeah but now they have released the kit we can sign someone, a new signing wearing last years kit doesn't cut the Mustard.

I agree with your view on the kit though, do we actually pay these people to design the kit or do they pay us? It looks like a fekking onesie

The home kit is awful, absolutely dreadful. However, the away kit is impressive.
Pity we still have to suffer the red of AIA on the shirts til 21/22.....

1.44 of video and the kit's in it for 7 seconds. The rest is all about the stadium..........so either nobody likes it or maybe it's gonna be the Nike Arena after all?
