    Whatever happened to our game?

Whatever happened to the ethics and moral compass of the who run our football clubs and the PL that they permit such bare-faced larceny and undisguised swindling when it comes to manufacture and sale of football kits?

Then I remembered the suckers who will buy this gear are the glory-hunting, know-nowt, clueless turds who demand a successful brand to put in their personal preference portfolio.

    So carry on regardless.

You're being a bit harsh there CityMan. Adults will happily pay £100+ for branded clothes if that's what they want so clubs are entitled to sell stuff at that sort of price if they want. There's nowhere it says football branded clothes should be cheaper than any other branded clothes. What is pernicious though is the price they charge for kids sizes. Parents, many who can ill-afford it, come under huge pressure to buy this stuff. But it's not just football kits, we're all being pressurised to buy all sorts of stuff, ethics and moral compass's are nowhere to be seen. Can't all be blamed on football alone.

I can’t imagine too many parents are coming under unbearable pressure these days to buy a Hull City kids’ kit.

It’s a shame how it’s all crashed and burned. At my work, there’s next to no city kits worn for PE anymore. It was the most popular kit over the last 10 years at our place. Now it’s all Real Madrid and Barcalona crap. We’ve gone backwards 15 years.

Astonishing how kids wear Barcer shirts these days especially as they've peaked somewhat.

Sill see plenty of kids in City stuff, far more than at anytime except last decade or so.

See too many Bayern Munching shirts too.

Yes, still too many gullible folk paying a load for stuff because of the label that was produced in sweatshops in Turkey and other places for next to nothing.

If wanted to buy gear for next to nothing, you wouldn’t be going to Turkey.

You just picked a really poor example of a place to go for a sweatshop, my main factory in Turkey is fully air conditioned and has a roof terrace for the staff, with a canteen, a bar and table tennis tables. I was in a factory in Leicester a couple of months back and that was far closer to a sweatshop than anywhere I use in Turkey.

Probably buy the Barca shirts when on holiday in Spain. They are on every cheap market stall for a few euro's. The Barca shirt has taken the place of the straw donkey, the sombrero, or the poster of a bullfight for those wanting to tell everyone they have been to Benidorm for a fortnight.

But it is still cheaper than buying the stuff made here. Buy British? No wonder are becoming a service sector.

But, back to the Man Utd kit, it was mentioned on the news that you can buy an adult season pass for Germany's top club for £70 less.

There's barely any garment manufacturing left in the UK and it's quite simply because people aren't willing to pay for it.

When the air con breaks does it go back to a sweatshop?
