Tyler the Creator (of transfer talk)
So Martin Tyler caused a bit of stir on social media yesterday, didn’t he?
As we explained, the Sky Sports commentator, who was working for an Australian TV channel during the World Cup, was discussing Liverpool’s interest in Nabil Fekir when he seemed to claim that a deal had been struck between the two teams and the Lyon captain would be moving to Anfield.

    Karius' battle
It appears to be an uphill task for Loris Karius to restore absolute faith in his abilities from the Liverpool fans right now, doesn’t it?
The German goalkeeper was again in the spotlight last week after a mistake handed Tranmere a goal in Tuesday night’s friendly win at Prenton Park.
That mishap came - as you will no doubt need reminding - on the back of the Champions League final meltdown.

I really don't mind which GK klopp picks as long as he picks one but it depends who you "read"

Fekir seems to be one that will happen for the no 10 role apparently needed. I personally think it makes sense, but i do wonder if staging the fee over a couple years is not only about fitness but needed to finance more deals

If that occurs then the keeper move ins one where we all know something needs to be done but that means every press hack and agent does too. only time will tell.

It may have escaped people's notice that I take little interest in the club's finances. Unless we're running the risk of going to the wall like we were under the previous clowns then I really don't care. I trust the current owners on that score because I believe they display sound business sense.
Despite my lack of interest and acumen, my understanding is that we haven't really bitten into our budget for the last few years because of the high-profile outgoings. Also, there has been a continued improvement of the income streams from sponsorship and tv rights etc, so I don't see why we need to be so cautious.
Unless I've got this horribly wrong, I can't see why we need to fear FFP for the moment, and the only reason I can see for not splashing the cash is that it goes against the business sensibilities that I've just mentioned.
In other words, if there are hold-ups, or failure to complete deals, I feel that there are valid reasons beyond strict budgetary requirements.

    That means didly squat.

Wasnt there a player agreed to go to spurs medical etc then chelsea signed him last minute.

Unless he has signed then it's journos filling column space.

    Agreed.
Can't say I've been overly impressed by what I've seen of him anyway.
Of course, a judiciously positioned wheely-bin would be an improvement on Karius, but I'm sure you can get one cheaper than Alisson.
