I don’t mind Shaqiri. For approx £15m, I think it’s worth a punt. Experienced, versatile attacker, can play both flanks bags of ability - will provide a good option off the bench. Means we can spend more on key areas - ie GK (Alisson) and CM (Fekir).

I think without the Real interest, he would definitely want to join us. I think he’s just waiting to see what real do first before deciding. It’s not nice being second best but we’re up against Real.
Well if we can’t go big on a keeper, then I would rather use that money and go big on a RCB. Shore up that defence as much as possible to mask Karius before we replace him.
