Lots to think about with the formation but I think it was heavy legs more than formation that got you.

 

I think Kane dropped deep due to Lingard/Alli not really having an impact in getting the ball to him so he got frustrated.

Central midfield without doubt our weakest position, especially as the back 3 seems to have counteracted our lack of CB options. I'm still not convinced Walker is good enough to play that position though and will always be liable to getting caught out against the bigger/better teams.


Also don't think Henderson on his own is enough against the better sides, we simply couldn't get control of the midfield back.

 

Don’t agree Luv SG set the team up wrong or his ability to change it around when it was failing.

 

Don't think the set up initially was wrong, but think you might be right on the second point.

 

Henderson shouldn’t be anywhere near that squad as should Sterling.

 

Not what I saw, just players getting tired imo.

 

Take out the marvellous set piece and we offered little all game.

 

Did you watch the games? Henderson didn't have the best of games last night but he kept you ticking over all tournament.

 

Both sets of players were tired, they just wanted it more.

 

Croatia didn't look tired to me.

He played reasonably well in some games yes but he lacks consistency and last night he was a vast disappointment.

Yes he's very limited but it's our weakest position for sure and he's undoubtedly the best of a bad bunch.

 

Heavy legs were there for both sides. Once they took control in the centre they knew they had us.
