****ing devastated at the minute. Will wake up tomorrow feeling proud though, it was a great World Cup for us.

Fair play to Croatia, they looked the better team in the second half.
 
What we have potentially to look forward to, is a nucleus from this time, plus those from the Under 21? World Cup winners and the Under 17's...

Through the groups Crotia where the outstanding team, then seemed to lose the plot. Unfortunate that they picked it up again against us. In a way, I'm happier we lost at this stage than on Sunday..

To each his own, but in anything, I'd always rather lose a final than a SF

Croatia are a very good side.
Kane was ****e all game when he could have made it 2-0.
To be ****ing honest I have enough on my plate supporting Hull City without getting stressed about the WC.

Team will only get better with the youth teams sweeping all before them. Only need a handful of them to make the step up to take us to another level.

The likes of Young, that midfield and maybe Walker at centre back are just stop gaps for me.

i do think too many of the players lack those big game experience that many of the croats have

only about 4-5 of the team has even won a trophy
barely any big games

it's a young team though,croatia is just abundant in that experience to handle an occasion and a game, and some world class players thrown in too

gutted though

Weren't we the youngest squad in the tournament? Which is promising for the future.
Though at my age I don't think I will see another England World Cup victory. Though I am lucky enough to have experienced one at the greatest time to have been a 16 year old in England.
Hope the younger ones on here experience the same at some time.

All tournament we have tried to play football .. for the first half hour tonight we tried to play football, but as the game wore on it was hoof ball all the time, predictable stuff for their defence to deal with .. we never used our pace sensibly .. and our midfield spent most of their time watching the ball fly over their heads .. disappointed here .. but we have over achieved by getting to the semis.. given the ages this group or majority of them are going to be around for a while yet .. the wait goes on, but a little bit of pride and belief restored. Well done boys .. but I fear both us or Croatia would have been spanked in the final.
 
Should have put it to bed first half. In the end beaten by a team with more experience and nous.

But who wouldn't have taken this a month ago?

Modric has won more trophies than the whole England team tonight.
Croatia has more players playing for top European clubs than we have.
