Gone a lot further than anyone expected.

But, the frustration remains. We had then there for the taking and then backed off. They got the inevitable equalizer and then we panicked.

We should have been at least 2-0 up at half time. Those missed chances from Kane have cost us in the end.

Not blaming Kane alone. We gave away two sloppy goals that had nothing to do with Kane, but you can’t help thinking that he should have put this game to bed in the first half.

First decent team played and lost. Despite the commentators jizzing at half time at England's apparent dominance they had 1 shot on target I think, and that was the goal.

Kane’s effort was on target.

At half time, we should have been 2 up.

Second half, we hoofed it, Henderson wasn’t able to keep a dead person under control and panicked every time he got the ball.

Cheek or Delph should have been brought on to accompany him.

We got utterly dominated from that point. Southgate didn’t see that and it lost us the game.

We were fighting a losing battle as soon as they figured out our plan.

Lastly, how many times around the box in shooting positions did we try to make a nothing pass to a player surrounded instead of shooting. And our final ball / touch was awful through out.

I reckon too, that France would've ripped England a new one in the final.

Should have put Croatia to bed in the 1st half though.

But well done on getting to the semis, massive learning curve for a young squad, will bode well for the future. <applause>

I think more than any other recent tournament, England turned up with a plan and looked like a team. If they can keep their key players fit, they can have a go at the Euros again as well. Lots to work on, lots to think about. They didn't seem to be able to pass the ball and score actual goals... its fine trying to nick set piece goals and penalties, but you have to be able to create. No idea who their creative players were.

Played 2 decent teams and lost both. Played a few nobodies and won.

Deserved last 4? Gtfo

Shut up HIAG.

I’ve already said that he’s not to blame alone. Henderson didn’t control the midfield, Stones fell asleep for the 2nd goal. It’s a collective effort.

But you would have put your house on Kane scoring at least one of those chances in the first half.

Feel sorry for Jordan Henderson actually. A CL final defeat and a WC semi defeat, AND being hooked for that useless fat waste of space Eric Dier... WTF is that about? We've looked worse every time that ***** has come on, let's not pretend a penalty makes him a worthy star.

That was given as offside, although he looked level.

Spurs let down by the non Spurs lads.
<whistle>
Don’t start talking like a twat Terrence...... you fat Trump ( with no hair ) balloono_O .... if the spine of this team and the manager stay together I think the future is looking good .
The whole team for me have done the nation proud.
Yes I’m disappointed , should of been 3-0 up at half time but that’s probably a pitfall of having such a young and at times naive side that will learn from this experience....... Well done Gareth and the boys <applause>

Oh and England don't even get to head home.... Belgium next on Saturday. So there's aught to play for yet.

Southgate reminds me of our old coach, Adkins. Likeable chap, breeds a good team spirit, and ok plan a.... but that’s about it, has a glass ceiling.
