We bottled it. It's as simple as that. Don't anybody tell me they were the better team after that first half. The nerves set in and the lads blew it. It was a fun ride nontheless.
Pointing fingers when it’s all gone wrong is so typical of what goes on here Kane’s goals got us where we were tonight, now every **** wants to forget that. We played as a team. We lost as a team.
We should have been at least 2-0 up at half time. Those missed chances from Kane have cost us in the end. Not blaming Kane alone. We gave away two sloppy goals that had nothing to do with Kane, but you can’t help thinking that he should have put this game to bed in the first half.
Kane’s effort was on target. At half time, we should have been 2 up. Second half, we hoofed it, Henderson wasn’t able to keep a dead person under control and panicked every time he got the ball. Cheek or Delph should have been brought on to accompany him. We got utterly dominated from that point. Southgate didn’t see that and it lost us the game. We were fighting a losing battle as soon as they figured out our plan. Lastly, how many times around the box in shooting positions did we try to make a nothing pass to a player surrounded instead of shooting. And our final ball / touch was awful through out.

I think more than any other recent tournament, England turned up with a plan and looked like a team. If they can keep their key players fit, they can have a go at the Euros again as well. Lots to work on, lots to think about. They didn't seem to be able to pass the ball and score actual goals... its fine trying to nick set piece goals and penalties, but you have to be able to create. No idea who their creative players were.
Mandzukic is a deadly winner. Not sure how many times I've mentioned it but you need them in the big games. Our lads should hold their heads up though, it's nobody's fault that our CM is awful.
Shut up HIAG. I’ve already said that he’s not to blame alone. Henderson didn’t control the midfield, Stones fell asleep for the 2nd goal. It’s a collective effort. But you would have put your house on Kane scoring at least one of those chances in the first half.

The whole team for me have done the nation proud. Yes I’m disappointed , should of been 3-0 up at half time but that’s probably a pitfall of having such a young and at times naive side that will learn from this experience.......
