Just be grateful he's nowhere near the squad - Pickford has shown himself more than capable as a permanent replacement and his star is ascending with every game - hope it continues to do so for the next two! <ok>

None of these existed the last time England reached the semifinals:

    Harry Kane
    Dele Alli
    Raheem Sterling
    Jesse Lingard
    Kieran Trippier
    Harry Maguire
    John Stones
    Jordan Pickford

He may be 'vertically challenged' (185cm) compared to most GKs, but that's more than compensated for by his agility and reflexes.

I can see why some might not like that, but personally don't see anything wrong with it, it's his own time and should be able to spend it how he likes imo.

As long as he's never near an England team again, I don't care where he spends his time!

With the way the Govt is in turmoil,
it looks like Southgate is in pole position for
    Prime Minister

Tbh it reminded me of Ben Foster throwing his toys out of the pram then wanting to come back when his mate Woy became England manager.

The biggest shame is Hart used to be an excellent keeper until he got too big headed.

The way I read it Joe was playing for his boyhood cricket team in Shrewsbury, he was a regular up to 2007 and could have played professionally.

He was doing what he enjoys and going back to his roots.
Why anyone would be offended by him doing this instead of watching TV beggars belief.

I find the criticism very pompous and self righteous and I have lost all respect for certain posters as a result. <whistle>

Wouldn't surprise me if it was true, Batty's well documented as hating football.

    Bah!

I thought no one had seen him since he retired?! I thought he lived in the woods now, or something?
