After hearing about the chaos that took place last night and seeing the damage done to one of our vehicles at London Bridge, the reality that I’m working a 7pm-7am shift on Wednesday night is not filling me up with joy :(

Mindless idiots mate, stay safe Stainsey ...

The "idiot section" of England fans were too scared to go to Russia and so stayed here to vandalise

They aren’t hooligans. It’s just pissed up kids. Doubt anyone intended to smash up an ambulance but some fatty decided it was carnival and they’d get themselves on LadBible by dancing on one, and it inevitably caved in.

Still no excuse....they’d be the first ones whining if it was their gran who was having an MI and there was no one to attend.
****s the lot of ‘em

I’m not excusing it, and it’s totally wrong to damage any property, but I don’t think people celebrating in the streets was much different to what we’d have had 20/30/40 years ago.

I survived the Swedish party! I even behaved myself (which quite frankly was a shock to myself and everyone there who knows me).

Croatia it is then. Bring it on!!!!!!

Football's coming home!

Many Norwegians want England to win even against the neighbours. A Norwegian mate came round to watch the game with us, and for a grumpy old git like me was very happy to see us beat Sweden, and we could start celebrating before the end.

Doesn’t surprise me, Os, as most Noggies of my acquaintance have a ‘friendly dislike’ of the Swedes because (as I understand it) Norway was ruled by Sweden way back when?

Don't think Norway was ever really ruled by Sweden. It was Danish. Norwegians have always got behind Sweden and Denmark teams in big tournaments but perhaps because of the huge support for English Club sides, support for England's national team seems to have grown.

with clear photos of the people causing damage and all bystanders egging someone on maybe they would like to pay for the damage they have caused. After all, there may be a time when someone in their family, or a friend or even themselves requires urgent medical assistance..

I think that's what shocks me more in a way. These aren't your archetypal throwback nutters who smash up everything in the name of anarchy. Just inconsiderate selfish idiots who think it's OK to trash an ambulance. They're even smiling for the camera FFS!

Anybody else wandering around today randomly clenching their fists and saying ‘yes!!!!’ under their breath?
Off to a family barbecue for my nephews 18th and my dad will be there. We're running a sweepstake on how many times he'll remind us that he was there in 1966... It's bloody brilliant - on an East Midlands train and everyone's a lot more animated than they'd normally be.
You work in pharmaceuticals don't you? If so can you get someone to bottle these feelings between now and Wednesday night?;)

It’s amazing how about seven million people crammed into Wembley that day.

It's probably time for me to start reminding everyone that I too was there in '66, then. I wasn't at the Sex Pistols gig, though.
