During the coin toss before pens in Croatia-Russia (from a Fox commentator). "This is not a coin toss." Au contraire.
Li'l Jamie Redknapp is definitely suffering in this heat. In The Mail, he wrote the following about one of the players of the tournament.... "This position is made for him. Everything about his performances has been excellent. He ghosts up and down the line, his deliveries have been of the highest quality and I cannot remember a time when he has been beaten in a one-on-one. "I like how he does not mess around when he gets into a good position. Harry Kane wants the ball in quickly and that is what Trippier will do." For some reason, the article doesn't finish with Jamie's catchphrase........."........and this summer he'll be leaving Spurs to sign for a 'bigger club'". It has to be the heat, right?
HITC are reporting that Nacer Chadli would be a great signing for us Did they miss the part where we signed him five years ago, only to sell him to West Brom a couple of seasons ago?
I'd wondered when it would start and it's today........ The Express and Daily Star co with....."Red Devils favourites to sign Kieran Trippier" One of the clickbait merchants, 101 Goals prefer........ "Odds drop on Real Madrid and Barcelona moves for Kieran Trippier"
So many hacks are linking Premier League teams with Yerry Mina off the back of his World Cup. He signed for Barca in January, you ****ing idiots!
He hasn't played much though and there were some stirrings about him leaving before the World Cup even started. He may not have settled in Spain or they may not think that his face fits, for whatever reason. He's also a non-EU player and La Liga sides are limited to 3, so they may be bringing in more.
If anything, Barca are shedding their non-EU players, with Paulinho and Arda Turan already loaned out, while reports suggest they're letting Rafinha leave this summer. At that point they're down to Messi, Suarez, Mina, Douglas, Arthur and Marlon Santos - and I expect at least two of the last three will be loaned out
Messi, Suarez and Rafinha don't count, due to having 2nd nationalities. Coutinho and Mina are the only ones left from last season, but they've got a few Brazilians to deal with. Melo's transfer takes them to the limit, so perhaps they're looking to bring another in?
I thought Messi and Suarez had second nationalities, but didn't have time to double check as I had to rush for a train. Nice one, Chris Grayling! As for the remaining non-EU players, Douglas will probably be sold, since he's in the final year of his contract and has played just eight games for them since they signed him in 2014, and he's been loaned for the last two seasons, so it looks like it's evened out.
talksport tonight desperately selling Kane to Real Madrid to replace Ronaldo. think they may have a point apart from; a) they bottled trying to do a deal with Levy for Pochetinno and b) Kane signed a SIX YEAR deal 4 weeks ago apart from those minor points they might well be onto something
