Well if you rate him then I'm shocked Every single club in the country haven't been fighting to sign him! Why don't you send your top 10 list to stuart and Lee so they can get on with not buying them, or better still why don't you offer your services to work with their scouting team and then maybe you'd have just one less thing to complain about when we sign all the players in the pro game you have detailed scouting reports and game analysis on!
Whilst some may rightly or wrongly proffer opinions on players, the problem once again lays with our incompetent leaders. They have pretty much dismantled our scouting structure in the name of cost efficiency. So, whilst currently it appears they will not spend money on 'experienced' players already established in the game, you might expect them to try to unearth gems lower down the leagues, to take them on to be developed and ultimately sold for profit, best (and ..... ahem ...... worst) example being Robertson. The club becomes sustainable in part through the churn of players. Names of younger local school age lads can/are offered to the club, that appear to have the attributes to 'make it'. These appear to be falling by the wayside, with at times not even the courtesy of a response from the club. Kids and parents want to know what is happening and won't stand still for long. As a result the club is going back to where it was years ago, with talent draining away to other clubs. It is once again developing a poor reputation (yeah who would have thought it eh?), which is a shame for some of those there who do a tremendous job. Our leaders scouting system is missing talent from all around the country. From being non existent, a conveyor belt of talent had been established and in it's infancy was working. Now, like everything else at the club, it is broken.
Utter rubbish. Subjective ****e dressed up as fact. The talent we have at the moment is the best it's been. The academy has gone from strength to strength.
Mixed message Chazz, is the Academy the Allam's one redeeming feature or not? We produced Tymon, Clark, Lofts, Annan etc and let them go, the diamond being Bowen which is unresolved, of the team that got to the U21 Prem Cup Final. Do we still have Mannion, Olly, Batty, Clackstone and Chadwick and if so will they make it, bigger opportunity for them now to get in the first team then the last generation?
I wonder if Moses isn't really fit. Maybe his knee is ****ed. Our doctors would know. Even for Ehab, letting a really saleable asset like him leave for nothing is insane, I don't think he'd have let him walk if he could do anything about it and I don't think the wage demands would be unrealistic, even for Ehab. Maybe we were good about it and recognised his knee could explode at any minute, hence why he didn't play for us after returning to training so as not to leave him injured for another year with no club and no medical care? Seems strange that he's off training here and there but does not have a club yet. No knee injury he'd have been snapped up faster than you could click your fingers, so I think there's a good chance there's more to this than we know about.
Sorry Chazz but that’s not true. How many genuine academy prospects have we had in our first team or made serious money on a transfer fee that has exceeded the cost of their development? I’d hazard a guess and say it’s close to zero.
If Max Clark has gone for the rumoured 500k then there's one. Bowen will be another. The youngsters do look promising by all accounts and Chazz and (when he's not jet setting off around the world) John watch them regularly, they have been right about all so far and both have commented many times about the improvement in quality over the last few years. It's not something that happens overnight but we've already seen the academy bear some fruit.
£500k probably barely covers his development cost. Look at Southampton for a decent academy. If producing saleable assets is your long term aim.
He definitely went to Austria, but he didn't train there, it looks like Rodgers just wanted a chat and to show him their set-up.
What did we get for Tymon in the end, £900K, is he still at Stoke or MK Dons? Aspiring to have a Southampton Academy is unrealistic, too higher benchmark for us.
We are the best run club in the country...FACT How many other clubs takes a player at eight, has them for 15 years, lets them go for free, and then try and buy them back a couple of years later. That is how to run a football club.
