Inconsistent would be your main worry. If you look and his knees are actually ok in medical then i don't think he will implode again.

I think it's media spin. though tbh in the olden days I am sure people were on about Keegan shirt and dalglish coming in or hunt to toshack to rush or whatever. I don't think a no 23 shirt really means much. at least no 1 meant something as a keeper and no 9 meant top striker etc.
I agree with you. It's probably a generational thing. You used to play the number that went with your position on the field, now it seems the number is a major part of player identity and some are very possessive over it.
