England won't get through. England are going through but they have beaten nobody. When England meet Germany they will be brought back to earth.
Funny how things alter in less than 2 weeks. A number of people have egg on their faces.

He still thinks it’s another nail in football’s coffin, but is more than happy that it has assisted in ending Getmany’s time in Russia.

Due to it not being fully inclusive & open to human interpretation of decisions it will continue to get more wrong than it gets right whilst spoiling the flow of the game & stopping it unnecessarily.

It’s **** & has no positive place in football.

Germany would have gone out anyway.

I don't get why they have to make such a big deal over it, why can't the bloke watching the telly just tell the ref what happened and move on.

But he’s even getting them wrong or being inconsistent.

Stopping the game to have a look really boils my piss up.

FFS there are 4 or 5 of them shown in Moscow in their kits, before each game, in front of a bank of screens.

Surely they should be able to quickly get a consensus and tell the match ref what they decision is.

Generally I think it's a good idea, but it is taking the piss when they take time to make a decision, then the ref goes through the same rigmarole again.

What we need are cards to hold up saying GOAL, PENALTY etc. Then everyone can hold them up after a long break. Which is the highlight of a rugby league game.

We just need a ref & a couple of linos who make decisions, right or wrong, & get abused throughout the game.

Better still, there'll be some cockernee, manc or scouse wide boy with a garage full of foam hands.

Take your suggestion a step further and put goal, pen etc on the hands and knock them out for a few [insert appropriate currency] and they'll go down a storm.

Especially in Yank land in 2026.

The Yanks, despite not being at the World Cup, rather surprisingly, have bought the second highest number of tickets.

My cousin goes to New York Red Bulls where they have a section where standing and singing is not only encouraged people who buy tickets for that area are told not to complain about people standing or blocking their view as they have been forewarned. Some grounds, in litigation mad, health and safety conscious Anerica, even have designated areas where you can set off flares. Can't see that happening here any time soon.

Surprises me that but good to hear. No doubt when they come under the auspices of FIFA that will change.

Pre-tournament, if we were given some clear vision of England's destiny, in that we would go further than Germany.

Naturally, one would assume that that would surely mean at least QF, SF or Jesus H Corbett, quite possibly, the actual F.
