He did indeed ...getting subbed ... if he hadn't gone off the winning goalscorer wouldn't have come on

Barcelona, Napoli, Argentina (whether) country or club this is (the) difference I made. Loved and hated I do not care.... Cristiano is my true successor." Damning and painful indictment of Messi tbf but he's got a point.
At the moment it seems like you could just replace the word Portugal for Ronaldo in the fixtures and Tables. He's scored all 4 goals and is quite literally dragging the rest of them kicking and screaming through to the next round. Not often I'd agree with that dirty cheating bastard above but on this occasion I do. What? Me bitter after all this time? Naaaah!
Not seen game yet. I will when get off work to judge for myself... But did I read correctly that Ronaldo punched someone on the field and only got a yellow card for it? Shows what an advantage being an established name is. Being Joe Nobody and punching someone you get a three match ban.
He didn't punch anyone mate so it's not so much whether you read anything correctly, or whether it a was bollocks you read in the first place. It was the latter by the way.
I haven't seen yet so can't judge but I've read a couple of accounts of a punch and an elbow to the face, for which he was given a yellow.
Yeah... That's not a punch. It is a deliberate foul but not a punch. Could have been red but yellow isn't an outrage.
Yep, I agree. I'm not even convinced it's a yellow card. It's a bit too physical, so it's a foul, but a red? Not even close.
Watching the clip above, I don't see a punch... Hand grazes face but it's not a punch. There is most certainly an elbow to the face though. He got a yellow... Thats probably an acceptable punishment. It could have been red though with a different ref. It would come down to intent. I think that there certainly was an intent to foul, but whether he intended to hit the face or just his elbow moving there naturally as he swung... That's hard to judge... Only Ronaldo knows for sure.
To be honest, that's not really much of an endorsement of either the refs capabilities or the use of VAR is this game.
It was sod all really but the ref gave a yellow as it was the simple solution. Cop out, no red as it wasn't one but he didn't feel confident enough to give no foul. If it's being reported as anything more over your side then we're all ****ed! You can slo mo and freeze frame anything to get the angle you need now but it was nothing.
The Iranian blocked him twice ... he was trying to get past the guy when the arm made contact and the Iranian initiated that contact by deliberately falling back into him having already blocked him once ... got little sympathy with them ... dirty, cheating nasty bunch of fouling cnuts ... I'm not the biggest CR7 fan but they were targeting him throughout ...
Ronny should have just taken a step back and let the man fall, he was backing in and almost horizontal before Ronny put his arm over his shoulder to lever past him
