The juries still out. I haven’t seen any evidence of that. I’ve seen most of the games Kingsley has played.
Oh I'm sorry, I shall change my posts to follow that suiting the style of a misrable, moaning, negative, washed up, complaining, Victor meldrow esk GLP shall I? I'd just hate to go through life with an outlook like yours! Each to their own though
I would have kept Kingsley and Clark Crazy idea, but I quite like two people challenging for a position. No matter how good either of them are they seem decent types who just get on with it Apologies for agreeing and disagreeing with everyone all at the same time
Would you pay them the same money? While we still don't have a first choice right back? Maybe nige has someone in mind he can get who's better back up and cheaper. Or maybe he wants the reserves left back to step up. I'll keep saying it he kept going mental at Clark during games, usually when he put it straight in touch. Like he did on a regular basis. We keep moaning they never come through, maybe Fleming is a potential star and he wants to give him a chance.
I liked Kingsley and Clark, I shared a dressing room with them at the Liverpool Empire once. Although, if I'm honest, I thought the sand dance routine was a little dated.
Surely using Clark isn't the best example for this as the people who are complaining, are saying the exact opposite. Clark is one that came through and should have been kept. I thought Clark was serviceable but that's about it. There's better out there for free.
He came through yes, but imho he wasn't good enough. I think nige felt the same. That's why he isn't here any more.
Ssh now ...if you start getting argumentative Germany will score! I’d pay Kingsley what his contract says. I’d pay Clark a reasonable amount, and no I wouldn’t be particularly bothered if those numbers were the same If I thought what you think Nige thinks (that Clark is a bit ****) then I’d have brought in another LB early, because I’d know that any club’s fans get more grumbly about home town players leaving than others, so I would have made it very clear that he wasn’t in my plans early (rather than publicly saying I wanted him to stay) and brought a replacement LB in at the same time as a RB (because I don’t have to wait to sell Clark) Then I would have publicly said that I wished him all the best and I hoped he did well Personally if I hadn’t replaced him yet I’d look to keep him because I’d be worried about getting someone in...which is why I would have also said what Nige said..that I wanted Clark to stay
Didn't we offer him a new contract? I didn't think he was good enough either but we obviously tried to keep him.
Just returned from jollies, seems everyone we thought would go and some of those we assumed we'd keep because it would make sense, have all gone. Talking to a few Forest fans on jollies who are gutted we have their right back. They did say we don't need a left back, he can play both at the same time, even when injured. I did question his versatility about covering centre backs too. Apparently, extended family were Swansea fans and reassured me that Kingsley could do exactly the same.
We offered him a contract so poor we knew it wouldn’t be accepted, it wasn’t about trying to keep him, it was just about guaranteeing the compensation.
Come back when you've practised a bit more. I went out with a girl from Howden for a while, she was as thick as **** too. It must be something in the water.
Max would have been a back up for Kingsley if he stayed, as I am sure Kingsley once he gets a run of games is better than Clark. Fleming is potentially a better left back than Clark, though a bit small at the moment, but he did well at Gainsborough last season on loan so seems to be developing OK. You could well see him on the bench in the coming season as a back up to Kingsley. I've said it before Max is an average player, and for a modern day left back is not quick enough going forward.
