Lingard squandered at least 3 good chances if not 4. Sterling is more of a nuisance than an asset and Young is worse than that.According to the BBC 'You Rate The Players', Lingard was better than Dele....................the only players Lingard was better than were Sterling, Young, Walker and Joe Hart......and Joe Hart wasn't even on the bench.

Young started the game by trying to get himself sent off and if he had been, there should have been no complaint.
Why is it always United players? Beckham in 1998, Rooney on Ronaldo and tonight, Young tries to do the same. So ****ing ridiculous.

Mostly because they can get away with that **** in front of Premier League referees, not so much referees from anywhere else - which is why Paul Scholes isn't featured in any highlight reels of the 1999 Champions League final.

Watching the South Korea game, I realized one thing I liked with VAR is more defenders getting penalized for fouls in the box. That leads to better, more entertaining, and more honest football.
Then I saw Kane rugby tackled twice. A Danish player suffered a similar fate. The officials seem to be saying "Well, we can't sort out what happens on set pieces." Except that you can, actually. Give a pen or two for wrestling and the players will sort themselves out. If you say you're going to correct obviously wrong decisions, why not correct obviously wrong decisions?
Also, not only has Kane now doubled Wayne Rooney's total of World Cup goals in a single game, he's doubled Wayne Rooney's plus Frank Lampard's (2 in 1 vs. 1 in 21).
Also, there have been worse times to get a player's signature on a new contract.

Harry's 2nd goal gets better with every watch. He had to do so much with that in terms of generating power and precision location inside the post to beat the keeper

We now come to the bit I suspected might happen. Sterling shows he adds little to the team, but plays against Panama anyway. One day, maybe against Panama, he might actually score - which of course will justify his thousand misses in all the previous games - and then get picked for the next five years on the strength of that. The miss following the "offside" (I didn't think it was offside) is typical Sterling - very few players would get away with that, but for some reason Sterling is untouchable. Mind you, on the strength of last night, Lingard was worse - teams don't get to miss that many chances at the WC and still win.
With some "morning after" pondering, that was an
excellent performance by Kane. Specifically, demonstrating :
1. the predatory positioning top strikers have (to be in the
right place for both his goals)
2. restraint in the face of the Tunisia penalty box judo.

...but in the media and from the pundits, all you hear is how great he plays for his club and how many goals he's scored and how much Lord Pep's improved him. Ask the fans and they know. Most posters on here have been saying for weeks..."He'll be a ****ing liability for England"...and hey presto, he's exactly that.
Yes, he's very good with De Bruyne, David Silva, Sergio Aguero, Leroy Sane and the rest pulling defenders out of position for him all game and giving him infinite chances. Stick me up front for Citeh with that lot and I'll get you 15-20 per season, guaranteed.
The fact of the matter is the bloke's a ****ing choker in front of goal...and we're playing him up front? I'd honestly prefer Welbeck up there in the next game and he's complete dogshit.

Walker an idiot for raising his arms like that, contact was pathetic but it was obvious Tunisia would make the most of it. Though **** knows how we didn't get two pens ourselves for the ****ing MMA takedowns on Harry.
Trippier MOTM for me, proud of the lad. Maguire also really good, big fan of his, easily England's best CB at the moment. Alli started brightly but the injury ****ed him from 30 mins. Sterling utter ****. Lingard ****ed up too many chances but his movement caused Tunisia loads of problems. Young kept slowing down play by cutting inside all the time, Rose or Delph should start the next game. RLC looked quality when he came on, shame he only had 10 mins, start him over Sterling in the next game. Henderson played one nice pass but was then a passenger, would much rather Dier as he does everything Henderson can do and add protection for the back line. Think Harry only touched the ball about 5 times but still managed 2 goals, clinical as ****.
