Liverpool fans no longer want Stoke City goalkeeper Jack Butland to join Anfield after finding out the England goalkeeper watches Love Island. Liverpool's England Under-17 striker Rhian Brewster has agreed a professional contract to keep him at Anfield amid interest from German clubs. (Telegraph) Gary Neville slams Liverpool transfer target Xherdan Shaqiri as 'unprofessional' as Jurgen Klopp considers bid
Really... someone actually published that... world cup twaddle. At some point we need to filter this **** out here.
STURRIDGE TO FIGHT FOR PLACE Daniel Sturridge reportedly wants to fight for his place at Liverpool. The striker spent the second half of last season on loan with West Brom but did not manage to find the net. He is under contract with the Reds until 2019 and appears to be down the pecking order, but The Sun say that he is set to start pre-season at Liverpool and try to earn a place in the team. Apparently his weekly wages of £120,000 are going to be a problem in securing a deal elsewhere.
One more year of subsidising that sicknote. Surely someone will take a punt on him if we pay half or more his salary?
https://www.thisisanfield.com/2018/...l-liverpools-new-signings-under-jurgen-klopp/ no great detail or revelations given in this article but i think something we all can see happening.
So Brewster looks set to sign a new deal. I know there was the issue with German team, I thought he wanted to leave so must have convinced him (with a tonne of cash) or he never actually wanted to go anywhere?
It's honourable that he wants to stay and fight for a place, he obviously has talent when not injured... The trouble with him staying though is, how do we convince the officials that he is young enough to play for our u18 team even if he is good enough?
there was never any quote out of agents or the player that he wanted to leave. he turned down an academy contract (scholarship) not a real deal. Clearly the club have torn up the policy of 17 year olds getting small contract to retain him. My only question is about him recovering form that injury. We have a long and chequered history of giving contracts to crocks.
He says "unprofessional"; he means the bloke got pissed off with his Stoke colleagues being unprofessional.
