Courtois gives the impression he was not trying because he didn't want to be here. For whatever reason he was below expectations for last couple of years. Can he reproduce his best form elsewhere? If so, he owes us half his wages .

If he makes a miraculous return to form then you should sue him big time. There is no excuse for a player to underperform when he's getting paid so well.
 
I got the impression Courtois never really wanted to even come back from Madrid. But having broken straight into the first team and then won some trophies, he's probably been happy enough.

But if he wants a new challenge and/or a return to Spain, now is the time for him to force a move. At worst he'll only have to wait a year.

Can't really blame him. If you had the chance to get more money and more chance of trophies elsewhere, likely in a country you'd prefer to live in.....no brainer.

He's maybe not quite reached the level we hoped for but he's been generally good enough and goal keeper is quite far down our list of things to sort out if he was to stay. So it's a bit of a shame and comes at a bad time for us.

Really courtois has voted with his feet. He’s shown that he’s not interested and done just about enough to ensure he got in ahead of Willy, whom I thought, was pretty good every time called upon.

He really is just making up numbers and will be glad to see him go if he does. Good luck to him elsewhere, he’s done a job here but if he wants to leave then off he goes.

Pickford, Flappianski and Pope al look good as they make loads of saves but not sure how they would get on when they have to concentrate.

I'm not saying Courtois is out and out better than them but different skills for different clubs. Only De Gea is out and out better than him whereas i would say courtois is around that select few who are better than **** but theres probably a lot of keepers stucking in that middling list that fluctuates depending on their form at the time.

One of the rare occasion I disagree with u.

Thibo has the ability on par with Gay boy.

But whether the kid has the will?? No way.

The main issue is his kid lives in Madrid and. He wants to be there.
