I wouldn't go as far to say I'm delighted but I'm 100% sure after watching him the last couple of seasons that we can do better.

This bloke has not been a Club man for the past 2 years, and I am not at all sorry to see the back end of him. He is the worst kind of mercenary, he gladly takes the money, then complains and works behind the Clubs back.

can't say i'm sorry he's leaving.

Been a very underwhelming few years after a very promising start.

We can't have willy as our number 1 though. The guy has too many mistakes. Then again buying one of these new keepers is going to cost an arm and a leg.

What happened to the cheapy petr cechs and carlo cudicinis of this era

They were quality keepers and real club men.
 
Have to agree he hasn’t been a standout performer imo = he’s been marking time for a while now so in the lyrics of a famous song: go on take your money and run.
 
Finding it amusing that you're all acting blase about Courtois potentially going. The guy is one of the best keepers in the world and any team (including mine) would bite your hand off to buy him (Liverpool would literally kill you with their ****e keepers). I guess it's different when you've been blessed with top quality keepers, Arsenal have struggled for quite some time until we got your cast off Cech.

That's the thing though. He really isn't one of the best ...

Saying that though we have bigger problems than our keeper

I disagree to be honest.
Think he would barely make top 5 in the PL, let alone amongst the best in the world.
De Gea and Lloris are leaps and bounds ahead of him.
Pickford probably is on par, if not better now too
Also Nick Pope and Fabianski have better save records than Courtois.

Nah, maybe you could argue Courtois as one of the best three years ago, but not now. Plus he is a bell end.

Nowhere near as good as Cech was in his prime, or Cudicini for that matter.

lol, whilst i wouldn't put him that far down, he's different to lloris but lloris has made quite a few faux pas this season.

Pickford, Flappianski and Pope al look good as they make loads of saves but not sure how they would get on when they have to concentrate.

I'm not saying Courtois is out and out better than them but different skills for different clubs. Only De Gea is out and out better than him whereas i would say courtois is around that select few who are better than **** but theres probably a lot of keepers stucking in that middling list that fluctuates depending on their form at the time.

What ever happened to him? He was sh1t hot when he first came out and he even displaced Cech who was still pretty good at that point.
