That's basically my gripe.
Cannot abide clubs who launched themselves 10 steps forward through overspending and financial support from outside sources. I detest City and Chelsea for that reason, although I do concede that at least City fans backed their team through the low points and no doubt will continue so when the money dries up in the future <ok>

I don't mind Man City. Their fans followed them whilst in League Two and they don't seem to have many glory fans either. Plus them winning pisses their neighbours off too [HASHTAG]#bonus[/HASHTAG]

Doesn't your kid support them because they are doing well :bandit:

No. He supports them because he likes Sergio Ageuro.

He likes Barca because of Messi too. Since Neymadge went to PSG he's developed a soft spot for those French ****s. He also likes C.Ronaldo but won't admit it to me <laugh>

It's more about those players as he looks for their international teams too.

However, he seems to like Man City more than the others.

lol wtf are you raising there mate.

To be fair to City, they’re spending a lot on the whole infrastructure of the club and not just on players.

The scouting network, youth development, affiliate clubs, data analysts etc etc.

The plan for them is to become self sufficient.

In which case I support all the women's teams.

None of their trophies actually count, in my mind. :)

Both my daughters support Liverpool
One of them once asked what would happen if she didn’t
A discussion then took place which explained the the term disinherited
No issues since :)

I locked the eldest (the in question) out the house because he came home from school saying he supported Man Utd!

The Mrs let back in, he was in floods of tears. What did I next say to him? You're not living here if you choose Chelsea either!

That’s my concern, he downed tools at the first sign and f interest from Everton. But he was only contracted to the end and f the season so could see why he would have wanted the possibility of some job security
To be fair to Silva
He was at Watford
A brief glimpse into their recent treatment of managers firmly exonerates Silva’s actions imho

I actually encouraged him to support Liverpool but I think that pushed him further away from picking them tbh

He knew the score when he signed on the dotted line for them. You don't sign a contract you're not happy with. He let them down, not the other way round. Plus, to go to PJS' point, you don't get job security by downing tools. Completely unprofessional what he did.

He was only contracted until the end of the season so you can’t blame him for wanting to jump-he could have been pumped the following week.

I’m not optimistic about him, he is just Martinez again for me and the fans will soon want him out after a few bad games. Wish Moshiri had stuck with Bobby now as Brands and him would have been interesting IMO
