You heard it here first.

Brizzle City are going to be bigger and more successful than Saints within 5 years.

They have a dynamic go ahead owner who is developing a sporting club not just a football club.

He doesn't insult the fans by saying they are just a pokey little club in the west country.

Think big and aim high or you are lost.

We therefore are lost.

They've got to get out of the Championship first.

It is about time that Bristol had a top flight team. I think it will be good for football.
Brizzle is about twice the size (population) of Southampton with a good number of decent sized towns and cities surrounding it but most importantly there are no other Premiership anywhere near them. We are the closest I would guess.
Rugby is probably Brizzle's biggest competitor for fans with Bath, Gloucester and Bristol being the main clubs

Bournemouth is closer, according to Brizzle fans that asked the question a couple of years back.
At the time it was Swansea.

Cardiff will be closest now. But yeah nothing to worry about, Lansdown (the chairman) has wanted to pump money in for years but the council has zero interest in sport of any kind and it is why all the local teams in the "major" sports (Bristol City/Rovers, Gloucestershire, Bristol rugby) have all been pretty **** comparative to the size of the place for as long as I can remember.

If the city were to get a PL club I'd imagine they would be able to fill a decent sized stadium (think City's upgraded one is about 27k now) as basically everybody I know supports a PL team, but have City or Rovers as a second team, so if they were to get to the PL then I think most of them would get on the band wagon for a season at least.

They would need to have a brilliant season to get promoted and then maybe the council would start actually trying to help build a successful sports team instead of blocking any sign of ambition as the money in the PL is huge and would benefit the city.

Oh transfer rumours, we are apparently interested in a released right back from Serie B on a free transfer.

Ugly inside saying we are talking to Leicester about Slimani. Again.

Didn’t join us from Porto, tried to get Monaco when we got Carrillo in. Went on loan to Newcastle. Something tells me he doesn’t want to play for Saints or he would be by now.

God I’m bored... I hate the end of season nothingness... I want to hear transfer news?!

Just need to survive a few days until I’m holiday in Greece then back home for the start of the World Cup!!!

Dear God lets hope this is just Media Talk as Slimani is certainly no better than we already have in the squad

Ryan Fredericks (right back from Fulham who is out of contract and we have been linked to) is going to West Ham.

Would have Slimani here, but wages will be an issue, could be a huge success in the PL at the right team (which we are, unless Hughes changes our style).

Slimani hasn't been any good at Leicester or Newcastle so why would he be any better at SMS?
