My Brizzle City family members getting excited that Sam McQueen is on his way to them.....would be a shame especially if Targett goes to Fulham and Bertrand go to .... where ever he wants to go to double his wages & stop sulking

Too much talk about interest in McCarthy...perhaps we should make an effort to extend his contract. The card we hold is that he will get a lot of game time at Saints...more than he'd get at Spurs for instance.

 

I see more in McQueen than I do target. Certainly from an attacking perspective.

 

Game time generally isn't important to players, wages are far more important so we either give him a greatly improved contract or he will go and sit on the Spurs bench and earn more money. Simples.
Hopefully these stories are coming from his agent to get a new deal from Saints but we will soon see

 

If Bertrand goes, we will need both of them. Normally for back up but that's not to say on occasions McQueen in front of Targett would give another option.

 

The early talk when Hughes joined us was that Shaqiri and Allen would both follow him to Southampton. Shaqiri could be the playmaker we've lacked but not sure we need another midfielder.

 

Centre back must surely be the priority. Have seen Benm Gibson mentioned a few times in connection with us and Everton.

Brizzle City are going to be bigger and more successful than Saints within 5 years.

They have a dynamic go ahead owner who is developing a sporting club not just a football club.

He doesn't insult the fans by saying they are just a pokey little club in the west country.

Think big and aim high or you are lost.

We therefore are lost.

 

'People' will like them as these clubs are primarily interested in overseas consumers, sorry ...fans. For this you only have to be successful, 'big' and aggressive in transfer market, as these consumers are glory hunters. That Liverpool now play an admittedly exciting brand of football only helps them further. Many UK based viewers/followers have adopted the 'globalist' big Six narrative, so they look for the same in 'their' top six club too. Only existing fans of us medium sized, or smaller clubs feel agrieved by these club's conduct.

 

We have had two play makers: Tadic and Boufal. What we need is a system to use them to their best.

I’m not saying we don’t need a Shaqiri or another creative player, just that we need to find a way to get the best from them. Hughes started to do that with Tadic in the last 3 games.

 

Are we merging the two transfer threads.

I doubt very much if we need one, two and we’re just plain showing off

 

From what I've read from the Fulham forum they think Targett is excellent when attacking. They seem more concerned with his defending.

 

Targett was developed in our more adventurous phase....do you remember that...our players bombing forward. Happy Days.
