We can't know where the money came from until its fully spent.

For example did we decided to buy ox with that money on the last day of transfer window?

    I don't know.

We do know however we are officially signing both players on july 1. That should be for FFP rules. therefore thats 92mil hitting the 2018/19 season?

In the end some of these stories have to be just fakery.

If we bought Kieta, Fekir and Fabinho then thats 3 in before sales.

How much money do we have; how much of coutinho fee is left? how much did we make off CL and prem campaign to spend? how much will we tak in on sales?

    more or less

2017/18 -1mil (ignoring add ons that have not come yet)
    2016/17 -6.5mil
    2015/16 28mil spend
    2014/15 38mil

you would IMAGINE that theres 25/30mil from each of the past two season unspent and then add on 20/30mil still to come form coutinho and then thing about CL prize money and then this years transfer budget

    25+25+25 = 75mil pure transfer money
20 mil form coutinho add ons
50mil CL prize money (pure guess)

    = 145mil

So absolute max kieta, fabinho and fekir = 52+40+60 = 152mil

In other words I can't see a keeper and a CB in our budget at this point.

    sales:

    Mingolet: 10mil max?
    Klavan 0
    sturridge 0
    Ings 10-15mil? maybe?
    Markovic 0 worthless
moreno? can't see this happening but 10mil off someone in prem.
    origi... i wish he'd done better. 15mil

I'm maybe seeing another. 50 odd mil if we get buyers.

You reckon we have £145m to spend - If it helps, we've got £211m prize money this season. Add that to your £75m pure transfer and £20m Coutinho. £306m, baby .....

Well apparently we’re after 3 more on top of the Fabinho and Keita deals. Keeper - Allison
    Midfielder - Fekir
    Forward - ?

Looks like klopps being given he funds to build a real strong squad now

It depends how much of that is spend on wages etc. And on agents of course too. I just plucked 50mil out of the air as over and above normal income.

So last year we had same more or less Prem money right? I think its marginally less than last year but tiny amount (in millions <laugh>)

75mil extra income off CL is great though.... don't know if its all there to be spent.

Ffp will be met with ease. Getting shed loads of cash worth tv deals and CL run, Coutinho money.

fees are generally split across contract length as well and as others have pointed out, we’ve barely spent anything net over past 3/4 years so it’s all stacked up. Ffp isn’t just done on one year, it’s over a 3 or 5 year period from what I gather isn’t it?

I don't pretend to know much about FFP but as a rule of thumb it's - outgoings must match incomings. We must surely be within that.

I think there are quite a few features factored into it to prevent it from doing its purported job.

Then I completely disagree with you. Can looked better in CB than Klavan, and when Lucas used to be with us, he was better in that spot too. I'd imagine Milner or Henderson could cover the position better in an emergency too.

I'm not familiar with our U21 but I can't imagine them being much worse and the experience would be important.

I don't think and sincerely hope he isn't going. But Salah's going could make up a huge chunk of that.
