This is interesting. Hard to read too much into it due to the difference in leagues but still worth knowing...
Watched that earlier. I think the Airial fuels won is very encouraging, with him being used in defence obviously is a strength when combined with his size so should add something if teams go long. He can actually sit in front of someone like Lukaku to stop the long bal into him, something Hendo and can failed to do, as well as being useful at both ends from set pieces. Didficult to compare tackles because of style. He out tackles Fernandinho but that’s because city have the back for 90% of games so he won’t make many tackles, but the fact he can win as many as Kanye shows that he’s good at wining the ball back when needed. Really as been a while since weve had had a DM who can shield and cover the back 4 but he seems to have a lot more about him with his passing. Dare I say seems to be potentially a nice mix of Alonso d mascherano in being able to do both sides of that DM role.

Stylistically, he’s like Patrick Vieira. He’s the ball winner we’ve desperately lacked since Mascherano, and also has the ability to launch quick counters. He doesn’t have the Jorginho-esque passing range but he is tidy on the ball and can play a through ball. Main strength is winning back the ball and covering large spaces. One of the best DMs we could have got that suits us.

Alisson Price Set Roma want £79m for Alisson - and will resist Liverpool’s advances until the World Cup. That’s from The Guardian, who confirm that despite the Reds failing to make a concrete offer, contact has been made to sound out the possibility of a move. The Serie A club are wary of selling their prized assets for a low fee - cough Salah cough - and are apparently “desperate” to keep the Brazilian stopper. His contract expires in 2021, meaning Roma are in no great rush to sell, but the club are also planning to offer him a new deal which would increase his income by an eye-watering £1.3m-per-year. He’ll almost be earning as much as I do! Finally, Liverpool will return in an effort to secure Alisson’s signature this summer, but could ultimately end up being put off by a world record transfer fee for a goalkeeper. On top of this, Real Madrid are also sniffing around and could scupper any chance of a move to Merseyside.
meh. Lets see. no offer but we are confident that lfc must have asked about a new keeper by now. plus as they are all in camp now for world cup theres unlikely to be any deals anyway so lets just throw that in there... oh and lets add real madrid as a rival Hack check list: 1) Latest need for target club... check 2) Prior link used..... check 3) throw in some easily accessible knowledge to sound ITK.... check 4) Give reason why deal won't be done any time soon thus covering arse.... check 5) throw in another clubs name for a bit of doubt.... check
Liverpool reputed targets (or not) Lemar 90mil... (no chance btw but just put it out there) Allison 69mil (italians love a 69) Fekir 60 odd already bought Keita 52mil Fabinho 40mil so thats a grand total of £311 million. In short this is never ever happening. If we should just inject a small bit of realism into this conversation We will in effect spend 92 mil on july 1 or whatever. We spent 75mil in january we took in 140 or whatever. so what we have to spend is completely unknown really. I would have to say that If fekir arrives then thats the absolute lot til we shift on a lot of players
Fekir would be a massive coup and does sound likely. However if it's at the expense of us not getting a top keeper in I'd rather not sign him. With Fabinho and Keita our midfield is fine. Fekir would make it extremely good. But without a keeper whats the point. I guess a lot depends on outgoings and the funds we have left.
Someone to cover the front 3 (Fekir) plus a GK and we're done, I'd like another CB but we don't have an endless pot. Add outgoings onto that and it's a lot but not out of our reach.
Well in theory the Keita money was out of last years budget so can remove that one. We wont get Lemar and Fekir. It’s one or the other and the Lemar one has gone very quiet, looks like we’ve moved on after Monaco wanted silly money for him.
